Circle Graphs Circle Graphs In mathematics Circle Graphs is very important for every category students. So today I am going to discuss the article circle graphs. In graph theory circle graphs are called pie charts and this is used to show the whole data which is divided into two parts. So by definition we can say circle graph is the intersection graph of a set of chord of a circle. In this way we can say circular chart is divided in two parts. In a pie chart the arc length of each sector and consequently its central angle area is a part of pie chart. For better understanding we are going to discuss some circle graphs based example. So let’s see example, Example 1: In a university, there are 50 faculties in 2007 batch, 40 faculties are in 2006 batch then find the pie chart value of number of faculties? Solution: For finding the pie chart value we need to follow the below steps. Step 1: In this step first we will find the total number of faculties in all batches.

Total number of faculty = 50 + 40 = 90. In this way we got the total number of faculties 90 in total batch. Step 2: In this step we will find the size of angle in 2007 batch. In 2007 batch size of angle = 50 / 90 x 360 = 200 In this way we got size of angle of 2007 batch is 200 Step 3: In this step we will find size of angle in 2006 batch. In 2006 batch size of angle = 40/90 x360 = 160 In this way for pie chart value we divide the value in two parts. First part is 2007 batch which is 200 and another part 2006 batch which is 160. ? Example 2: In a marriage hall, there are 1400 guests in first year, 1000 guests are in second year, and 1200 guests are in third year. So find a pie chart value. Solution: For solving the pie chart problem we are going to follow the below steps: Step 1: In the first step we will find the total number of guest in marriage hall. Total number of guest = 1400 + 1000+1200 = 3600 Now we got the total number of guest is 3600 Step 2: In the second step we are going to find the size of angle in first year. In first year, size of angle = 1400/3600 x 360 = 1400/10 = 140

Now we got the total size of angle ‘140 ‘in first year Step 3: In the third step we are going to find the size of angle in second year. In second year, size of angle = 1000/3600 x 360 = 1000/10 = 100 Now we got the total size of angle ‘100 ‘in second year Step 4: In the fourth step we will find the size of angle in third year. In third year, size o angle = 1200/ 3600 x 360 = 1200/10 = 120 Now we got the total size of angle ‘120 ‘in third year In this way we can divide the year in three parts for pie chart value In first year pie chart value is 140, in second year pie chart value is 100, and in third year pie chart value is 120. After getting these values we put them in the pie chart. So that was the article circle graphs with brief definition and with basic examples. In the next article we will discuss the other properties of circle graphs.
