Scatter Plot Scatter Plot Let us first understand what congruency is and what is the difference between the two similar and congruent figures. Two figures are said to be congruent if they have all the pair of corresponding sides and the pair of all the corresponding angles are equal, then we say that the two figures are congruent. On the other hand we say that the two figures are similar if the corresponding angles are equal, but the corresponding sides are not necessary equal. Thus we can say that the two congruent figures are also similar but two similar figures are not necessary congruent figures. Let us learn how to prove that the pair of two triangles is congruent. We say that the two triangles are congruent it means that if we place one triangle over the triangle, it overlaps each other. By saying the pair of two triangles is congruent; we mean that the corresponding sides and the corresponding angles of the two triangles are exactly equal. By congruency, we mean that the measurement of one triangle is exactly equal to the measurement of the triangle. We have different properties to show that the two given triangles are congruent. If any one of these properties satisfies, it means that the triangles are congruent. The properties are as follows: 1.

sas ( It means Side Angle Side)

2.

ASA ( It stands for Angle Side angle)

3.

SSS ( It stands for Side Side Side )

4.

RHS ( It means Right angle Hypotenuse Side)

Let us learn about SAS property in detail. If we have two triangles and we need to check if the two triangles are congruent or not, then we say that any one of the above mentioned property must be satisfied before we conclude for any triangles to be congruent. These theorems and the postulates help us to conclude that the two triangles are congruent under certain conditions. When we talk about SAS, we say that SAS is the postulate to prove that if we have two triangles such that their pair of two corresponding sides and the angle includes between the equal sides are equal, then we say that the triangles are congruent. We say that the full form of SAS is Side Angle Side and here if we have the embedded angle between the two equal sides as equal, then only we say that the pair of two triangles is congruent to each other. When we talk about the embedded angle, it simply means the angle of the two triangles, which lies between the two equal sides of the triangles. Thus we can prove that the two triangles are congruent if it satisfies the SAS postulate of congruency. There are other three postulates, which also show that if they are satisfied, the triangles will be congruent. So we need to locate that which of these four postulates is satisfied and accordingly we use them to prove the congruency of the two triangles.
