ABOUT:
Daniel Bukin's lush and lyrical saxophone quartet, Autumn, portrays the dramatic and heartfelt changes of the autumn season, a bridge from the light and warmth of summer to the bitter dark and cold of winter.
FROM THE COMPOSER:
Based on the poem "Autumn" by Russian poet Alexander Pushkin, this piece describes the complex emotions and changes surrounding the autumn season. The themes from this piece are also incorporated into the 2nd and 4th movements of another piece of mine, Symphony No. 1 "Autumn".
