Graham Arnold has been exhibiting his work at major institutions since 1950. He exhibited widely with The Brotherhood of Ruralists but also has had many solo shows and has been exhibited in London, Germany, Switzerland and Japan. His paintings are held in public collections including the Royal Academy of Arts, Victoria and Albert Museum, Museum of New Zealand and the British Museum. Graham has continued the tradition of painting, being inspired by poetry, the English landscape, composers and writers, often combined with the mundane, a pot of garden peas, or freshly picked flowers. The past is intrinsically linked to the present through tiny details and recurring motifs.
Annie Ovenden is a fine artist and a founder member of The Brotherhood of Ruralists. Formed in 1975 the group consisted of seven artists;, each had their own style, yet shared many sentiments and sources of inspiration. A desire to understand and paint the elements of nature was combined with literary and musical influences. Annie has had several solo exhibitions in London, and Shropshire. She is best known for her tree studies and paintings depicting the rural landscape of inland Cornwall where she lives and works. She is a member of The St. Ives Society of Artists and exhibits with The Arborealists.
