Special Events

TURKEY TROT

November 25

Compete against your friends and fellow members in our annual Turkey Trot 5K and truly earn each extra Thanksgiving dinner serving. The race will end at the Twin Dolphin Clubhouse, where the big Gobbler will be cheering racers to the finish line.

EL DIABLO

January 1 This glorified Saturday Sweeps will test your hangover and skills against Twin Dolphin at its most challenging. With the course set all the way back at 7,300 yards, pins in extreme locations, greens rolling at a 13, and feeling a little PPD (post-party depression) from the night before, start the New Year off with your toughest round. Just think — your game can only get better as the year goes on. DINNER & NIGHT GOLF

November - April, Select Days Join us for a unique dining and golf experience that the entire family will love. After dinner is enjoyed, make your way to the Practice Tee for some friendly competition and test your aim by hitting glowing golf balls towards the illuminated targets on the driving range.

JUNIOR ADVENTURE CAMP

January 3-5 Our youngest generation will love this immersive experience that inspires a love of the game of golf and all things Twin Dolphin Club. From guided hikes discovering the wilds of the Baja desert to mastering putting skills on the green, this is a fantastic opportunity for kids of all ages and abilities to explore the Club.

LADIES RETREAT

January 27-30 Set over the course of four days, our Ladies Retreat is a luxurious immersion experience custom-tailored for each member, offering golf instruction, golf and pickleball tournament, spa treatments, yoga classes, hikes, wine tastings and lavish dinners. Welcome the day with sun salutations on the Clubhouse lawn, then improve your swing with a golf clinic in the afternoon before taking a sunset cruise on the Sea of Cortez — all in the company of other amazing women. A full itinerary detailing all activities will be shared, so be on the lookout.

DOS ARROYOS TWILIGHT EXPERIENCE

February 19 As twilight sets in, gather around the warm glow of the campfire to roast marshmallows and listen to live music in the rustic yet refined setting of Dos Arroyos. For those seeking adventure, light up the night and take part in the glow-in-the-dark paintball tournament. Our youngest members can enjoy tossing luminous paint-filled balloons onto canvas to create abstract art under the moonlight.

EASTER TREASURE HUNT

April 17 For an adventure you'll talk about for years to come, our treasure hunt leads members of all ages throughout Twin Dolphin Club using cleverly placed clues to the golden egg. The team with the fastest time to complete the hunt wins the ultimate bounty. HEALTH & WELLNESS DAY

Select Mondays Pick your spot and place your mat for a yoga session on the Clubhouse Lawn at Twin Dolphin Club to start your week off right. While facing the Sea of Cortez, practice your poses, calm your mind, reinvigorate your energy, and enjoy the serene scenery of Baja.

FRIDAY WINE & NINE

Select Fridays On select Fridays, play nine holes of golf sipping your favorite wines. Enjoy carefully curated wines selected by Maravilla’s sommelier Tomy Gil while you take in the sunset on the course.

THANKSGIVING FAMILY SCRAMBLE

November 27

Compete in a family-friendly 9-hole Scramble where you can’t blame the course for a high score. Our professional golf staff has incorporated a larger 10” cup on each hole, so gather your favorite foursome and make a day of it!

FORMAT: FOUR-PERSON SCRAMBLE

• Each team player hits from their designated tee box, and the team members then choose the best of the four shots for the

next shot. All team members then play the second shot from that location and again choose the best shot • Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed.

The team then records its score and maintains this format for

all 9 holes. Men play from the ones, ladies from the twos, and kids under the age of 12 play from the Niños Tees THE PAR 3 CHALLENGE

December 29

Dynamically set within the back nine, this strategic 9-hole cross-country style Par 3 course is designed to test your accuracy and challenge your mind. The format for this event is a two-person scramble with stableford scoring, so unlike most days on the course, the team that finishes with the highest total score wins and will be crowned this year’s champions.

SUGAR SKULL CLASSIC

January 16 Celebrate the holiday weekend by participating in the second annual Sugar Skull Classic. Play against your fellow members in this one-day event designed to gather both men and women of all skill levels in an exciting challenge to become Sugar Skull Champions.

FORMAT: TEAM SHAMBLE

• Both team members will hit their tee shots on each hole, then select the better drive of the two and individually play out the hole, recording both gross scores • Total each player’s gross score, then subtract the player’s handicap for a net score. Combine the two net scores for the Team Net Score

• Each player’s drive must be used at least twice on the front and back 9

BAJA BOWL MMXXII

February 13 Take part in the third annual Baja Bowl, an event that combines 18 holes of golf at Twin Dolphin Club with 18 holes at Maravilla’s putting course. Teams of two will compete in the best-ball format at each venue, and the team with the lowest 36-hole score will be crowned this year’s Baja Bowl Champions. Members are welcome to partner together or invite a guest.

FORMAT: TWO-PERSON BEST BALL

• Each team member will play out their ball from the designated tee boxes. Using their full handicap, each player will record their score. The lowest net score between the two

will be recorded for the “best ball” team score

May 28 Test your skills against the best players in the Club and compete in the first annual Twin Dolphin Club Championship. To qualify for a spot in this event, players will be able to use their top 3 best gross scores from Saturday Sweeps over the course of the season. The 12 players with the best gross scoring average from those 3 scorecards will earn their spot amongst the elite and be able to compete in this year’s Championship. Players will battle head-to-head in this one-day winner-take-all tournament, where no strokes are given and only your game matters. This true and pure format will help crown this year’s Club Champion and be considered as the “Best of the Best.”

3RD ANNUAL RED DOOR CUP | MEMBER - GUEST

April 27 - 30 Join us for the 3rd Annual Red Door Cup Member | Guest at Twin Dolphin Club. This four-day fun-filled fiesta has quickly become the flagship event at Twin Dolphin Club, so be sure not to miss out on helping us crown this year’s Red Door Cup Champions!

FORMAT: FOUR-BALL MATCHES

• There will be a total of five 9-hole matches in a round

robin format

• One best ball (net) of two-person teams

• No more than nine points awarded per 9-hole match

• The teams with the most points in their respective flight will compete in the sudden death 3-hole shootout to decide the overall Red Door Cup Champions

• Flights • 100% of team indexes will be used to determine flights • Six to eight flights of two-person teams

• Tee selection is established based on flight and team handicap • Competitors will play from the Ones and Twos

• USGA Handicap and GHIN # are required • 100% of your handicap will be used • Players without a USGA Handicap must play as a scratch

• Strokes are allotted where they fall on the card based on the handicaps for each 9-hole match • Based on the lower scoring individual of the match

• No more than nine points awarded per 9-hole match

• In the event of a forfeit prior to or during a match, the winning team is awarded a maximum of six points • If a team is to forfeit prior to or during match, that team will no longer be eligible to play • The flight winners of each flight compete in the sudden death Shootout

Scheduled Thursdays | 4 PM Join us for an exciting evening of artisan wood-fired pizzas, lawn games, and a round on our uniquely inspired 9-hole cross country Par 3 course. Strategically set within the back nine, this 938-yard course is designed to test your accuracy and challenge your imagination. WEDNESDAY

PRACTICE WITH A PRO

Scheduled Wednesdays | 2 PM Each Wednesday, a member of the professional staff will coach and guide you through a golf hole of your choice. This onehour clinic is designed to help you play the golf course through the mind of a Golf Professional, so you can truly understand all the subtleties and challenges Twin Dolphin has to offer.

DINNER AT THE CLUB

Scheduled Thursdays | 6 PM Join us each Thursday at the Twin Dolphin Clubhouse for an evolving menu carefully curated by Chef David and his culinary team. The fresh and innovative Baja-inspired flavors along with the sunset setting makes for a truly unforgettable experience.

Scheduled Fridays | 10 AM Each Ladies Clinic is one-hour and will be held on the Practice

Tee with a member of the golf professional staff covering different topics of the game that will help improve your scores and lower your handicap. This is a wonderful opportunity to play with other ladies and master your skills.

SATURDAY

SATURDAY SWEEPS

Scheduled Saturdays | All Day Challenge your fellow members in various types of formats during our casual Saturday Sweeps and see who has the skills to win. Saturday Sweeps games, skins and buy-ins will be selected and organized by the golf professional staff before play. Players of all ability levels are encouraged to participate. For those that wish to compete in the Club Championship, please make sure to putt everything out as your top 3 gross scores of the season qualifies you for the event. There are only 12 spots, so make sure to bring your game weekly. JUNIOR CLINIC

Scheduled Fridays | 2 PM Our Junior Clinics will encompass the different aspects of golf, from the fundamentals to etiquette and sportsmanship, with the goal of encouraging our young members to learn the different aspects of the game. These one-hour clinics are led by a member of the golf professional team on the Practice Tee.

FIVE HOLE - FAMILY SCRAMBLE

Scheduled Sundays | 4 PM Join us on select Sunday afternoons for a complimentary 30-minute golf clinic followed by a 5-hole scramble event tailored to golfers and non-golfers of all calibers. End your round at Red Door 5 where you can grab a beverage or settle some friendly family bets. The Sunday Scramble is a fun, family-driven event meant to encourage all golfers to enjoy the game.
