At the Douglas Bull Test for the '21-'22 season there are 54 heifers on test, 124 bulls on regular test and 18 bulls in the younger bull group. Bulls in the young group will not be in this year’s sale, but will go through 112 day on test starting Dec 26/2021 and be eligible to come back in January 2023 and be in the 2023 sale.

There are six Maine-Anjou bulls in the young group consigned by Badger Hill Maine-Anjou, all are polled fullblood. Their WPDA at the start of the test is 3.38 lbs. as a group average.

In the regular test, there are four Maine-Anjou bulls consigned by Gilcroft Farms - Ron Gilbert. Ron’s bulls are all fullblood born January 2021. As a breed average they are top of the list with- ADG 4.26 WPDA 3.48 56 day weights, this is just ahead of Salers with an ADG 4.15 WPDA 3.46 ~ 56 day weights

Other important dates coming up are: • 84 day weight- Jan 22, 2022 • Off test-Feb 19+20, 2022 • Semen testing-week of March 18, 2022 • Ultrasound-week of Feb 27, 2022 • Sale day - March 26, 2022

The sale catalogue should be out around March 1, 2022. The sale will be broadcast live on DLMS again.
