General Information The Sale will be held in the Agricultural Drill Hall on Hwy. 21, north of the railroad tracks. Watch for signs. Horses will be available for your inspection the morning of the sale. Broke horses will be shown at 10:30 a.m. CST in the High Chaparral Rodeo Arena to the east of the Drill Hall. Sale starts at 12:30 p.m. CST in the Drill Hall. Maple Creek has ample accommodations for meals and lodging. We would be pleased to make reservations for you if you contact us. The Auctioneer will decline any bid made by parties who have defaulted in former purchases. Payment to be made the day of the sale, before the horse leaves the building. All sales are for cash unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Bidding will be in terms of Canadian Funds: thus US buyers can adjust to the current exchange rate which will be posted on the day of the sale. Personalized cheques will be considered cash. All horses are registered and will be sold as such. Transfers will be assessed the buyer of each horse. Registration transfers with fees will be sent to the appropriate association once settlement has cleared our bank. If buyer pays cash or uses a credit card to make payment, papers will be handed out at the sale (with the exception of weanling papers which may be being processed) For buyers paying by cheque, papers & transfers will be sent out once cheque clears. Each Association (AQHA, APHA)will require a current membership before releasing reg. Papers. This is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure their membership is current at time of purchase. Buyers will assume responsibility and expenses for a horse after the fall of the Auctioneer’s gavel. Feed and water will be available. Boarding arrangements can be made. A Brand Inspector will be provided. Horses must have a brand clearance before they may be transported. LIABILITIES: Any person attending the sale does so at his or her own risk. She has come even further since then, having gone to work in the "real world" over this summer. She competed in the 3-year-old division of the South West Ranch Horse Association last year, and retains eligibility in the SWRHA’s open division for the future.
