The Rio Grande Valley Philanthropic Foundation proudly sponsors the 2024 Young Master’s Program.
We are dedicated to investing in education, the Arts, and economic development and we celebrate the rich cultural heritage of the bi-national, bi-cultural, and bi-lingual Rio Grande Valley on the Southern Border of Texas.
Texas culture, rooted in the border region, embodies a legacy of vaqueros, haciendas, rodeos, and culinary delights.
We are proud to highlight the positive and meaningful impact of arts and culture in shaping the region’s identity, with a goal of promoting cultural tourism, which sustains communities financially.
As we honor Young Masters from the Rio Grande Valley tonight, we ask that you remember the beauty and the time-honored traditions of the intertwining of two countries with one border and their long history defined by family, love, honor, art, and culture.
On July 4, 1988, teenagers Shane Stewart and Sally McNelly disappeared from a lakeside park near San Angelo — never to be seen alive again. 35 years later, Texas Monthly’ s “Shane & Sally” podcast is diving into their unsolved murders.
