SEA SIDE DEVELOPMENT OF FAMAGUSA
On the east of Cyprus, Famagusta is located at a point between the Karpaz Peninsula to the north and Cape Greco to the South, closer to the north in the Famagusta Gulf, which is closed to North and South winds. Troodos Mountains rising through the north of the island continues also on this peninsula. The Mesaoria Plain located to the west of Famagusta is the key cereal production area of the island. As the cereals and other productions of Mesaoria are exported through Famagusta Port, Mesaoria has always been very important for the city and the cereals produced at this plain were stocked at the warehouses of the city.
WATER SIDE DEVELOPMENT OF MAGUSA A collaboration between myself and a colleague to develop a seafront pro-
ject in Magusa which comprises of retail areas, office spaces, and temporary accommodation units. The site was divided into two where each individual designed his personal site but also cautious of the other person design, we also designed the surrounding of the site and revitalize and repurpose some existing buildings around the site to enrich and also support the functional distribution in our site.
INTERIOR DESIGN DEVLOPMENT, OLD CITY MAGUSA A collaboration between myself and four colleague to design an interior space in a historical building. Each of us was tasked to develope a unique idea then we all came together to marge all our ideas creating this unique interior space . the design of the space was inspired by the movement of the street dace which was the main theme of the space, so we use the movement of the dance on he street from one space to another.
ART AND CULTURAL CENTER FAMAGUSTA A cultural center designed in a small island called Cyprus with a unique cultural heritage coming from the medieval period, the concept of the project is aimed to integrate the local culture with the international culture which comprises of the culture of the students and also the diverse cultures of tourist coming from different part of the world. The concept of the curved roof of the building is derived from the classical Cypriot dance instrument called sickle which is used in the famous Cypriot folk dance.
PHOTOGRAPHY I’m able to see the world in a unique way. I feel I have been given
the gift to see beauty in everything and everyone because I’m sensitive, observant and very empathetic. I notice the details others may be oblivious to wherever I go, such as a single ray of light shining through the clouds onto the mountain, which brings me peace
