Drawing the Curtain Advanced Architectural Design Studio 2015 Boston, MA Influenced by its location in Boston’s Theater District, this residential high rise takes form by embodying the drawing of a curtain. The primary, street facing façade mimics a curtain opening to create vistas for residents towards desirable views of downtown and the harbor. Vertical, angled fins enhance the facade to give the exterior a similar texture to folds in a curtain. The secondary façade, restricted by the alley, is composed of a double skin system with angled members between to create the curtain texture in a flat composition.

Bike To Your Door Graduate Design Studio 2016 Chicago, IL Situated on an old industrial site and next to a flourishing residential neighborhood, this mixeduse project enhances the bike friendly city of Chicago by serving as a bike share and manufacturing facility combined with a bike friendly living complex. The central ramp provides locals with access to a public bike park and residents with direct bike access to their front door. This project serves as a new hybrid mixed-use typology, that creates a new method of urban, bike friendly living.

Obama Presidential Center Comprehensive Graduate Design Studio 2017 Chicago, IL Aspiring to create a community landmark through promoting culture, community, education, and recreation, this Obama Presidential Center acts as an iconic gateway connecting the neighborhood and city to a new community center. The main corridor serves as a public library and cultural center, creating a journey for visitors in an environment informative on the local community and their culture. The corridor is characterized by arches composed of light filtering fins to provide a welcoming environmentand to embody the iconography of the gateway. Branching off the main corridor are additional programmatic spaces adding to the cultural, educational, and recreational intentions of the project.

Internship Archetype Architects Portland, ME The following pages show work I produced during my internship with Archetype Architects. The renderings were done using Revit to 3D model the project and combined with Photoshop to produce images for marketing and the clients. Also shown are a couple samples of construction documents I worked on, which ranged from floor plans, elevations, safety plans, structural sections, and detail drawings. (The overall design for the projects and buildings were done by the firm Principals and Project Architects).
