2 President’s Message As summer is drawing to an end, things are Trey Hunt gearing back up at TABA and this month we have some important opportunities to support the housing industry. Please make plans to join us for TABA’s Annual Government Officials Appreciation Luncheon on August 28th at Willow Brook Country Club. Our guest speaker will be Dr. James Gaines, Chief Economist at Texas A&M Real Estate Center, who should be very informative regarding new construction and real estate trends across Texas and our region. We’ll also present checks to charitable recipients of the 2019 Parade of Homes™. Contact TABA staff to RSVP for this event. Also, TABA’s 10th Annual Clay Shoot will take place on August 23rd at Prairie Creek Ranch. All proceeds benefit HOMEPAC, the Texas Association of Builders’ political action committee. HOMEPAC funds are used to support pro-housing legislation. This is always a great event and you can sign up as a team or as an individual and we’ll match you with a team.
