PARADE OF HOMES™ Contracts to participate in the 2021 Parade of Homes™ are due by 4 p.m. on Thursday, February 25, 2020. This is the final contract submittal date and no application will be accepted after this date.
PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE TABA Members, Normally, we would be preparing for the Home Products Show at this time of the year. But as most of you know, we have decided to skip the Home Products Show this year due to the current Covid situation. However, we’re already looking ahead to next year and hope to see many of you back as exhibitors. We will have a Parade of Homes™ this year! Builders, please note, there are many deadlines approaching for the Parade of Homes™. Be sure to read the Parade section of this issue, as well as the 2021 Parade of Homes™ contract. We will not have After Hours in February, but we are hopeful to resume most events in the second quarter of 2021. Also, be sure to save the date for an event we are adding this year - a Spring Sporting Clay Shoot, scheduled for Thursday, March 25th at 5H Sporting Clays in Frankston. Members, the Spring Sporting Clay Shoot is not a HOMEPAC fundraiser, which means we can accept corporate payment, so hopefully this will make it easier for some of you to participate. Parade Builders: By Thursday, March 4, 2021 Please submit to TABA the following: 1) Names of suppliers and subcontractors (sub list). Must be provided via email in Microsoft Word format. TABA staff will send you a pre-formatted Word doc that you must use. 2) Physical address as well as latitude and longitude. Also provide complete written, turn-by-turn directions with mile markers. Directions should start from a central location, preferably starting in Tyler for continuity throughout the Parade Magazine. Example: From Old Jacksonville Hwy and Grande, head south on Old Jacksonville Hwy and travel 4 miles, then turn left on... Another example: From Broadway and Grande, head North on Broadway... A screenshot of google maps and/or screenshot of turn by turn directions is not acceptable. Written directions only. BUILDERS, YOU KNOW THE DIRECTIONS TO YOUR HOUSE BETTER THAN STAFF, SO YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR TURNING IN ACCURATE DIRECTIONS ON TIME. WHAT YOU SEND TO STAFF IS WHAT WILL RUN IN THE MAGAZINE. PLEASE BE PROACTIVE AND SEND ACCURATE DIRECTIONS ON MARCH 4TH. 3) One color picture of Builder, (if you have it). 4) Amenities List of up to 12 bulleted items- no more than 7 words per line. TABA staff will send you a pre-formatted Word doc that you must use. By 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2021: Final date to withdraw entry with no penalty. Also final date to change address of entry with no penalty. Builders, please note, the deadline in the contract are hard deadlines. Exceptions will not be made. Please plan accordingly due to high demand for various products and services. Contracts can be downloaded from the Parade of Homes™ page at TylerAreaBuilders.com, or you can pick up a copy at the TABA office. Save the Date! The 2021 Parade of Homes™ will be June 5th-13th.
