PROJECT DESCRIPTION

WHERE THE PROJECT IS LOCATED ? CORRIDORS WHY THIS PLACE ?

Corridors are the best example to illustrate Shanghainese behaviours which regards a mutual appropriation on collective space.

n POSITIVE

Redefine the spatial aspect of the bulky corridors. Support dailylife activities of residents. The project leaves to user a freedom of action. Facilitate social connection in the Fuzhou Building neighborhood.

NEGATIVE Residents have to know the product - the project needs background in term of communication. Be aware of current dimensions in the corridor to implant a good design project and not bulky furniture.

NEXT STEP Next step in the project development, Appendices

WHAT’S NEXT ?

NETWORKING Improve my networking which regards to the chosen concept.

GREEN ESCAPE To improve this concept I will contact Jianming Cai which can provide advices about Smart Garden and the global community garden in China. I expect this actor will be my tutor. In a second part, I have to find private stakeholders to develop this project, as an artist or brand which can promote their own name through the installation. If they are no stakeholders to support the project, it will be a prospective one.

IN FRONT OF THE DOOR This concept needs stakeholders too to be created. I have to contact furnitures brands as IKEA to promote the idea. In this case, it will be a partnership project.

PROJECT IMPROVEMENT Still improve my project with the users feedbacks, field investigations and conferences about the heritage living space in Shanghai. Understand all the elements and constraints in the chosen concept to have a great design project in phase 3. Continue the experimentations about the shape, the materials, and the user scenario.
