This leads to diaper rash in the newborn child.

This creates a sense of complete filling of the stomach leading to a feeling of fullness and lack of hunger. Through burping the swallowed gas gets out of the stomach along with some milk consumed. But the accumulation of more air within the stomach can lead to excessive vomiting of milk along with burping the gas.
