Generalities
• Carefullyfollowspecifiedrepairand maintenanceprocedures.
• Donotwearrings,wristwatches,jewels, unbuttonedorflappingclothingsuchasties,torn clothes,scarves,openjacketsorshirtswithopen zipswhichcouldgetcaughtonmovingparts.Use approvedsafetyclothingsuchasanti--slipping footwear,gloves,safetygoggles,helmets,etc.
• Wearsafetyglasseswithsideguardswhen cleaningpartsusingcompressedair.
• Damagedorfrayedwiresandchainsare unreliable.Donotusethemforliftingortowing.
• Wearsuitableprotectionsuchasapprovedeye protection,helmets,specialclothing,glovesand footwearwheneverwelding.Allpersons standinginthevicinityoftheweldingprocess shouldwearapprovedeyeprotection. NEVER LOOKATTHEWELDINGARCIFYOUREYES ARENOTSUITABLYPROTECTED.
• Nevercarryoutanyrepaironthemachineif someoneissittingontheoperatorísseat,except iftheyarequalifiedoperatorsassistinginthe operationtobecarriedout.
• Neveroperatethemachineoruseattachments fromaplaceotherthansittingattheoperatorís seatoratthesideofthemachinewhenoperating thefenderswitches.

• Nevercheckorfillfueltanksorbatteries,noruse startingliquidifyouaresmokingornearopen flamesassuchfluidsareflammable.
• Thefuelfillinggunshouldalwaysremainin contactwiththefillerneck.Maintainthiscontact untilthefuelstopsflowingintothetanktoavoid possiblesparksduetostaticelectricitybuild--up.
• Totransferafailedtractor,useatraileroralow loadingplatformtrolleyifavailable.
• Toloadandunloadthemachinefromthe transportationmeans,selectaflatareaproviding afirmsupporttothetrailerortruckwheels.Firmly tiethemachinetothetruckortrailerplatformand blockwheelsasrequiredbythetransporter.
• Alwaysuseliftingequipmentofappropriate capacitytoliftormoveheavycomponents.
• Chainsshouldalwaysbesafelyfastened. Ensurethatfasteningdeviceisstrongenoughto holdtheloadforeseen.Nopersonsshouldstand nearthefasteningpoint.
• TheworkingareashouldbealwayskeptCLEAN andDRY.Immediatelycleananyspillageof wateroroil.
• Neverusegasoline,dieseloilorotherflammable liquidsascleaningagents.Usenon--flammable non--toxicproprietarysolvents.

• Donotchargebatteriesinconfinedspaces.
• Alwaysdisconnectthebatteriesbefore performinganytypeofserviceontheelectrical system.
HYDRAULICSYSTEMS
• Somefluidcomingoutfromaverysmallportcan bealmostinvisibleandbestrongenoughto penetratetheskin.Forthisreason,NEVERUSE
YOURHANDSTOCHECKFORLEAKS,butuse apieceofcardboardorapieceofwoodforthis purpose.Ifanyfluidisinjectedintotheskin,seek medicalaidimmediately.Lackofimmediate medicalattentionmayresultinseriousinfections ordermatitis.
• Alwaystakesystempressurereadingsusingthe appropriategauges.
WHEELSANDTYRES
• Checkthatthetyresarecorrectlyinflatedatthe pressurespecifiedbythemanufacturer. Periodicallycheckforpossibledamagetothe rimsandtyres.
• Stayatthetyresidewheninflating.
• Checkthepressureonlywhenthetractoris unloadedandtyresarecoldtoavoidwrong readingsduetoover--pressure.
• Nevercut,norweldarimwiththeinflatedtyre assembled.
• Toremovethewheels,blockbothfrontandrear tractorwheels.Raisethetractorandinstallsafe andstablesupportsunderthetractorin accordancewithregulationsinforce.
• Deflatethetyrebeforeremovinganyobject caughtintothetyretread.
• Neverinflatetyresusingflammablegasesas theymayoriginateexplosionsandcauseinjuries tobystanders.
REMOVALANDINSTALLATION

CAUTION

37.Fromtheoppositeside,unscrewtheboltssecuringtheintakemanifold(1)andremoveittogetherwiththeairheater(2)forcoldstarts.
38.Hookupthebrackets, 380001073 (1)witha suitableslingand,usingahoist,removethecylinderhead(2)fromthecrankcase.
