College of Health Sciences The College of Health Sciences offers a number of high-demand baccalaureate and associate degree programs, including the Bachelor of Science in Nursing and an online-only RN-to-BSN for registered nurses. All programs in the college are designed to integrate theory, innovative practice and technology in classroom and medical settings, to inform students about healthcare trends, and to promote opportunities for career advancement.

Master of Science in Healthcare Administration

The online-only Master of Science in Healthcare Administration prepares students for leadership roles in the U.S. healthcare marketplace. Healthcare administrators are responsible for the business and financial aspects of hospitals, clinics, and other health services organizations. They organize and manage medical information and healthcare staffs. Program applicants must have an earned bachelor’s degree in nursing, healthcare administration, or a related healthcare field from a regionally accredited institution; an earned Bachelor of Business Administration will also be considered.
Opportunities Students who earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing at UAFS, whether in our traditional program or the online-only RN-to-BSN program for registered nurses, are among the best prepared in the state and nation: UAFS had a 96 percent state board pass rate in 2015 – the highest of all Arkansas universities with nursing baccalaureate programs, and more than 10 points higher than the national pass rate.

Opportunities UAFS education majors gain professional development at 59 partner schools in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Continuing support for practicing math and science teachers in 47 school districts is available at the UAFS STEM Education Center. And the Education Renewal Zone serves 11 affecting teachers in all disciplines.

CAMPUS LIving Consider campus housing to take your college experience to the next level. All units are furnished and offer free on-site laundry facilities, high-speed Wi-Fi and state-of-the-art security. The Lion’s Den residence hall, primarily for first-year students, offers separate men’s and women’s wings, suites with choice of floor plans, movable furniture, easy access to community kitchens and lounge areas, and an on-site dining hall. Sebastian Commons apartments, primarily for upperlevel and married students, offers floor plans with full kitchens, private bedrooms, reserved parking, and volleyball and basketball courts.
