Accept all needed aid & Scholarships Remember to login to your Student Banner Account and accept all aid & scholarships .
Pay Student Tuition & Fees The University’s Bursar Office will generate bills after your successful enrollment prior to the start of classes. A message will be sent to your @uah.edu email address notifying you that your bill is available on the Banner Student Account at register.uah.edu. Look for this notification in early August 2014. Remember all chargers are due on the first day of classes. Fall 2014- August 20th at 5 PM

MAKE COURSE REGISTRASTION CHANGES (IF NEEDED) It is highly suggested to be enrolled in at least 12 hours (full time). UAH recommends 16 hours per semester. Updated Academic Information will appear in your Banner Student Account under transcript. Academic Information includes: • AP SCORES (received in July) • Spring/Summer Dual Enrollment College Transcripts • CLEP or Placement Test Results If your updated information allows you to register for a different course please go online to complete web registration (as explained at Orientation). Need help? Course Web Registration Instructions can be found at uah.edu/registrar. You can also contact your Academic Advisor for assistance.

PICK UP YOUR UAH PLANNER A great way to keep up with campus life & academics is to pick up your new UAH Planner. Each new student will receive one courtesy of UAH Student Success Center & Student Affairs. Planners will be available at each Week of Welcome Event starting August 15, 2014.

LAUNCH CAREER PLANS W/ FOCUS 2 FOCUS 2 is an online interactive, self guided career and education planning system designed to help you make decisions about your future career goals and education plans. FOCUS 2 will guide you through an interactive process enabling you to: • Assess your career planning readiness, work interests, values, skills, personality type and leisure time interests. • Broaden your career options and discover occupations matching your personal preferences and attributes. • Decide which career fields, majors and training programs are best for you. • Plan the career and educational pathway that will support your personal needs and goals

SELECT & ORDER TEXTBOOKS Didn’t get a chance to stop by the University Bookstore at Orientation? No worries! You can go online to Bookstore website to begin viewing and ordering the textbooks you need for the Fall semester. Make sure to have your course schedule handy when researching your textbook list! Go to the University Bookstore Website. Follow the easy step-by-step instructions on entering your courses
ORDER PARKING DECAL Students who park a vehicle on campus must purchase a permit online. To sign-up for your Parking Permit go to http://parking.uah.edu
Orientation Leader Tip: When you arrive on-campus, drive & walk around to locate each of your buildings for class. This will help determine when you need to walk or drive each day.
GET READY W/HOUSING & RESIDENCE LIFE Room & Roommate Assignments In July you will be mailed your room assignments for the Fall. You can also view your assignment and roommates by logging into your Banner Student Account. Once logged in you can select “My Housing� to see roommates and room assignment.
Roommate Preference? Did you meet someone at Orientation you would like to be roomies with? Email the Housing Office at housing@uah.edu to send your roommate request. Please note that all students involved must send in their request to successfully be assigned to the correct room.
What to Bring? Your new Residence Hall Suite is now your home away from home. Make it yours! However, before you bring large items make sure to talk with your roommate to help avoid duplication. Look for a checklist on what to bring in your new Orientation Booklet.

New Student Move-in Day across campus is Friday, August 15 Please see your official assignment letter for exact time and your building’s location. We have current students, volunteers, staff & faculty helping to assist your move-in. We promise move-in day will be an easy process! You will get into your room in no time at all, so you can enjoy the afternoon WOW events with your family.
Need an Early Move-in to Residence Life? Certain circumstances may require you to move in early with UAH Residence Life.

Preparing early for the mental and physical demands of college is the best way to be successful. Ask yourself these questions…
What is your GPA expectation? Will you discuss grades with family? How often? How will you stay motivated? Do you know what activities you would like to be involved in? How will this affect your time management?
How are you going to meet new people oncampus? How are you going to incorporate eating healthy & exercise? What are your dating expectations? Do you know what resources are offered in the Student Health Center and the Counseling Center?

WEEK OF WELCOME Week of Welcome (WOW) is a campus-wide set of programs and activities that occurs in the fall and spring semesters designed to welcome new and returning students back to campus. WOW is packed with social, educational, and informational programs that will allow you an opportunity to interact with other UAH students, faculty, and staff. It is a great way to make new connections, find your way around campus, and get free stuff

COMPLETE BY AUGUST 20TH ď ąComplete Alcohol EDU, Every Choice & Transit These online modules help students address critical life skills such as alcohol abuse prevention, sexual assault prevention, and financial literacy. Your login directions were sent through the mail in June. Please reference when access the online modules. You can also view instructions online at:uah.edu/studentaffairs/resources-students Please note, successful completion of both courses is required for your Charger Success 101 Class.
