LEARN about LIBERAL ARTS
College of Liberal Arts The College of Liberal Arts offers majors in the humanities, fine arts, behavioral and social sciences, communication arts, and education. This broad-based foundation will do more than provide the understanding and skills required for a successful career. It can also provide the groundwork for a meaningful, involved life. Subjects in the liberal arts – literature, drama, politics, visual art, music, philosophy, history, and foreign languages and cultures – are at the heart of a good education. Their study is essential for responsible civic engagement and leadership within virtually any field. Liberal arts graduates are competitive for a wide range of careers. Here’s why: A liberal arts degree provides a well-rounded education beyond specific vocational training. The result? Grads are not limited to a single career path. Our alumni pursue careers in business, medicine, law, government, the arts, communication, education, and numerous other fields.

The College offers a wide selection of extracurricular, cultural, and educational opportunities, as well as internships in several disciplines. 4. LEARNING FOR LIFE: THE liberal arts prepare you to think critically and communicate clearly – skills that are valuable and marketable.
