80TH ANNIVERSARY Season Sponsor

WELCOME TO THE 80TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON 2016-17! A Note from Artistic Director, Brent Gibbs This year, the School of Theatre, Film & Television celebrates its 80th year as a free-standing drama program, one of the oldest in the nation. The Arizona Repertory Theatre will also mark an important birthday as we turn 20 in 2016. Both of these milestones will give us an opportunity to look back and celebrate where we have been, but they also give us a chance to look forward toward where we wish to be in the future. Your gift to us is your continued support and our gift to you is a commitment to produce great theatre that feeds your spirit, heart and mind. A Note from Managing Director, Jenny Lang Welcome to the University of Arizona Theatre program’s 80th Anniversary season. This season promises to deliver the same high quality productions and top-notch audience services that we have been providing the Tucson community since 1936. Through Arizona Repertory Theatre, the Studio Series, and Film & Television screenings, our students will showcase their talents, tell compelling stories, and provide clear results of what happens in our classrooms and studios. Thank you for your continued support as we enter our 80th season. We know you will be enchanted and enlightened as you watch and grow with our students!

EPIC PROPORTIONS This riotous comedy follows two brothers, Benny and Phil, who travel to the Arizona desert to be extras in a grandiose, biblical film called Exeunt Omnes. Throw in some gladiator battles, the 10 plagues and a misfiring burning bush and suddenly Phil is directing the film and Benny is starring in it! To add to the hilarity behind the scenes, both brothers fall in love with Louise, the assistant director in charge of the extras. Filled with a cast of thousands, this is truly a comedy of epic proportions.

EVITA Experience passion and seduction in this seventime, Tony Award-winning musical. Revered by her people as an advocate for the poor, Eva Perón made a meteoric climb from the slums of Argentina to her role as beloved First Lady at the age of 27, and became one of the most powerful women in the world - though her grand ambition and fragile health also made her one of the most tragic. Told through a captivating score, Evita tells Eva’s remarkable true story through some of theatre’s most beautiful songs, including the unforgettable, Don’t Cry for Me, Argentina.

Jeff Brack and Josh Snider (BS 1996 Civil Engineering, photo on right) have been best friends since they were neighbors as children. They were roommates and inseparable buds while attending the University of Arizona. Over the past 20 years, Josh built a successful career as an engineer, and Jeff worked in film and television followed by a 15-year career in the tennis industry. However, their love of cinema beckoned, and in 2014, along with three additional partners, they launched Tucson’s first dine-in theater experience, RoadHouse Cinemas. Jeff is the Production & Content Manager at RoadHouse Cinemas while Josh is the Owner and Manager of Business Expansion. It has been an overwhelming success, leading to the recent grand opening of a new theater in Scottsdale, and further exploration of new locations in Tucson and beyond!

Jessica Creager (BFA 2013 Lighting Design & Production) Since graduating from the University of Arizona, Jessica has built a home base in New York City and travels around the country working as a freelance Associate Lighting Designer and Draftsperson. The 2016-2017 season has many exciting things in store for Ms. Creager: in the Fall, she will become a member of United Scenic Artists (Local USA829), and some big, yetto-be-announced projects are in the works for the Winter and Spring!

Jenna Faville (BFA 2014 Film & Television) Immediately after graduating from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Film Production, Jenna Faville made the move to Los Angeles. Within two months, she landed at another boutique below-the-line - the quicklyexpanding Worldwide Production Agency - working as the Coordinator in the Motion Pictures Department where she served as integral support to the agents in her department, as well as the roster of top level cinematographers, line producers, production designers, and editors. In October 2015, she was named in Variety’s Hollywood’s New Leaders: Top 10 Assistants to Watch. SUBSCRIBER BENEFITS

BOX OFFICE RULES & PROCEDURES

Price Savings

Save 20% off single ticket prices for Arizona Repertory Theatre (ART) productions.

Great Seats

Subscribers are seated first. Enjoy the “same seats” for each ART production in the Marroney Theatre and priority seating for Tornabene Theatre shows. “Same seats” are available for orders received prior to August 1, when single tickets go on sale. Orders placed after that date will be seated as close as possible based on availability.

Flexibility with Free Ticket Exchange You may exchange your tickets to another performance of the same show anytime up to 24 hours in advance. Tickets are non-refundable.

Fees

A convenience fee of $4 per order will be charged for phone orders. If you would like your tickets mailed to you, an additional $2 fee per order will apply. There is a fee of $6 per order for online purchases.

Will Call

All tickets purchased less than two weeks prior to the performance, or purchased online, will be held in Will Call and will be available at the performance location one hour prior to show time.

Seating Policy

Productions begin on time. Generally, each theatre will open for seating 30 minutes before curtain. Seating is assigned based on best availability when the order is received. Please make requests for special needs, such as wheelchair seating, limited stairs, etc. Ticketed seat assignments are not guaranteed past curtain. There is no standing in the theatres. There is no late seating.

Discounts on Single Tickets

Save 10% off any additional ART tickets you purchase. Call (520) 621-1162 for details.

Supporting the Future of Theatre

Subscribers provide the foundation of support for our students through ticket purchases and by providing one of the essential elements for live theatre — an audience. Your presence at our shows gives our students valuable experience for their future as artists in their chosen professions.

House Rules

Food, beverages, and smoking are not permitted in the theatre. The use of cameras or recording devices of any kind is strictly prohibited. Please turn off pagers, watch alarms and cell phones. Text messaging is prohibited. Children five and under, infants and strollers are not permitted inside the theatre.
