I watch the sunset Make love to my window pain Blood red rays of connection Drip along the sides The glass is warm and glowing A hot-pink proof of their desire. The wind outside is moaning, it's sliding to its knees while birds are going crazyshaking in the trees. Before the orange kissed glass gets to shatter in delight. the sun withdraws all of her splendor and offers up the night.

sticks and stones bounce off her bones and physically she's stable but she always cries to see the lies that are laid upon the table.

obligations cloud communication she cannot speak a word her mouth is closed, her ears exposed, her emotions are deferred.

they close their eyes to broken lives and hers is no exception left in the lurch is a hopeless search for heavenly protection.

her sing-song verses prevent the curses she wishes she could say she's learning to dance and taking a chance on throwing everything away.

her mind now clear, she has no fear of what the night will bring but who knows how long will be the song she tentatively sings.
