International Students If you're an international student or a Canadian student who has studied outside of Canada, you'll be considered for admission on the basis of your senior-level high school grades. If you've completed high school internationally but under a Canadian curriculum, please review the Standard Admission chart on page 24-25.

All students must satisfy the following English language requirement:
You're eligible for early admission if you’re a student who will complete three years of high school under a Canadian curriculum.
If you're currently in your senior year of high school, or have recently graduated, you'll be considered for admission based on the final grades from your senior year of high school.
Complete at least three years of English in senior secondary school, with your final English course being equivalent to Alberta's English Language Arts 30-1.
If you don't have three years of English in senior secondary school, you must present one of the minimum scores required from the chart below. For more information on our English language requirements, visit ucalgary.ca/admissions/ requirements/elp. If you don’t meet our requirements, please see the International Foundations Program section on page 23.
To be considered for early admission, you must: Present a 90% or greater average in four subjects (as determined by your program). See the early admission requirements chart on pages 26-27 or visit ucalgary.ca/admissions/ requirements for details. Meet the final admission requirements for the program to which you are admitted. Satisfy the English Language Requirements. Apply by December 15, 2015. If you apply for, but don’t receive, early admission you’ll still be considered for standard admission once we’ve received your first semester senioryear grades. Standard admission is based on final Grade 11 and at least two final Grade 12 grades achieved on five subjects required for your program. Transfer Students If you’ve completed any studies at another post-secondary institution, you’ll be considered a transfer student applicant and will be required to meet both faculty and program transfer requirements, plus our basic high school course requirements (or equivalent). To be considered for admission as an international student, you must: Have completed, or be in the process of completing, at least 12 years of schooling. Receive satisfactory standing in five subjects (as determined by your program) that are acceptable in lieu of Alberta 30-level courses. This must include an English course equivalent to Alberta’s English Language Arts 30-1. Adult Students You may be considered an adult student applicant if you meet three criteria: you’re 21 years of age or older, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and haven’t completed any previous post-secondary coursework. You’re not required to meet all high school applicant admission requirements, however you must present satisfactory standing in senior-level English and meet any other senior-level subjects specified by your faculty of choice. Diverse Qualifications Admission If you've achieved excellence outside of academics or have overcome significant hardships, you may seek admission under the Diverse Qualifications Policy. To be considered for admission under this policy, you must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident and demonstrate: Excellence in non-academic areas; High potential in academic or research activities; or Perseverance under great difficulty or hardship. Aboriginal Student Admission When you apply for admission, you'll first be considered under the admission criteria (see page 24-25 for details). If you've self-identified as Aboriginal on your application form, you’ll automatically receive second consideration under the Aboriginal Admissions Policy. GCE (British System) Students Admission
You must present five distinct and appropriate GCE/GCSE subjects, with at least two at the Advanced or International Advanced level. Any subject presented at both Advanced and GCSE or Ordinary levels will not be considered as two distinct subjects.

All students must satisfy the following English language requirement:
You're eligible for early admission if you’re a student who will complete three years of high school under a Canadian curriculum.
If you're currently in your senior year of high school, or have recently graduated, you'll be considered for admission based on the final grades from your senior year of high school.
Complete at least three years of English in senior secondary school, with your final English course being equivalent to Alberta's English Language Arts 30-1.
If you don't have three years of English in senior secondary school, you must present one of the minimum scores required from the chart below. For more information on our English language requirements, visit ucalgary.ca/admissions/ requirements/elp. If you don’t meet our requirements, please see the International Foundations Program section on page 23.
To be considered for early admission, you must: Present a 90% or greater average in four subjects (as determined by your program). Satisfy the English Language Requirements. Apply by December 15, 2015. Transfer Students If you’ve completed any studies at another post-secondary institution, you’ll be considered a transfer student applicant and will be required to meet both faculty and program transfer requirements, plus our basic high school course requirements (or equivalent).
