UCANE’s Associate Members are the businessmen and women who sell and service machinery, supply materials, finance, bond, insure, litigate, and support our contractor companies, and we are fortunate to have some of the best and wellrespected companies in our industry as members.

Always a hard worker, as a kid, Gerry had a paper route. Then, in high school, he rode his bike to a sand and gravel company where he would load bags of sand and stone into cars. Gerry also worked in his family’s sign shop doing graphic design work, and lettering machines and trucks. He attended the University of Miami where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture. After college, Gerry moved back to Cape Cod to continue working in his family’s business, which subsequently led to his career in the construction equipment industry. He has worked with some wonderful people and companies over the years but ended up where fate and family intended him to be, at C. N. Wood Company, Inc.

Gerry met his wife Debra during his senior year at the University of Miami. They have been happily married for 13 years, and live in Burlington, MA with their two children, Gerry III age 11, and Jane age 8, and their black lab Addie. All were able to attend and be with Gerry as he accepted this honor, except for Addie, who was assigned to guard duty back at the house!

Gerry’s support of UCANE has been unparalleled. He has served on our Board of Directors, but whether he was on the Board or not, he has been omnipresent at all meetings and events, supportive of all Association endeavors, and always available for a call and asking how he can help.

Gerry’s sister Kerri wrote, “As a father, husband, brother and son, Gerry has been quite the role model for us all. He continues to strive for greatness, never settling for average anything. Constantly finding ways to make everyone laugh, Gerry still finds time to keep up with friends and family. We are all so very proud of Gerry’s accomplishments. I couldn’t ask for a better man to be my big brother, the father of my niece and nephew and the great son he is to my parents.” We were proud to present UCANE’s 2022 Associate Member of the Year
