The successful student will: • Learn the fundamentals tools of Adobe Illustrator • Learn a brief history of design and typography • Use Adobe Illustrator to complete a finished digital illustration, logo, or design Course Schedule: Week 1: • Brief history of design and typography • The Elements of Art and Principles of Design • Learning the interface Week 2: • Raster vs. Vector • Basic shape manipulation • Pen Tool and Brushes • Stroke/Fill • Transparency and Color Week 3: • Creating swatches • Symbols • Type • Blending Shapes Week 4:
