What we do
UCD Careers Network helps you join the dots between your time at University and your future career. Check out our website ucd.ie/careers/ where you can begin your ‘join the dots’ journey. Whether you are only starting to think about your career or you already have a clear plan, we are here to help you make the most of your talents and get ahead in life.
All your career needs now in one location: MyCareer! MyCareer is the Careers Network’s vacancies, events booking and appointments system. You can log in using your UCD Connect username and password. Graduates without an active UCD Connect account can register to access the site.
• Book a Quick Query appointment
• Register for Careers Workshops, Fairs and Employer Events
• Search for current job vacancies and opportunities
• Edit your profile to get alerts on new job vacancies and events relevant to you
• Access new tools like CV360, Interview 360 and Career Assessments
Career and Skills Consultants
We deliver a range of engaging and interactive modules, workshops and seminars for students across all disciplines and stages. These cover everything from developing a stand-out CV or perfecting your interview techniques to developing the key skills that graduate employers are seeking, like leadership, teamwork, presentation skills, commercial awareness etc. Check with your Programme Office to find out about bespoke career development and employability support in your area or contact your Career and Skills Consultant. We offer two types of free one-to-one Quick Query appointments with our team of Career and Skills Consultants:
• CV & Application Quick Query sessions: to review your CV, cover letter or application form, career advice and interview prep.
• All Queries: All questions relating to CVs, applications, career development, further study, interview preparation.
Slots are approximately 20 minutes in length and can be booked on the day through MyCareer
Recruitment Fairs & Employer Presentations
Often the first contact a student makes with an employer at a fair or presentation leads to important connections and career opportunities. You can find an up-to-date schedule of recruitment fairs and employer events taking place on campus on MyCareer We also publicise events via social media, so keep an eye out!
