Denver Community Leadership Forum Collaborative leadership for the collective good publicaffairs.ucdenver.edu/dclf

For more than 30 years, the Denver Community Leadership Forum (DCLF) has supported individuals who are called to work on our communities’ most complex issues — those issues that can’t be solved by one individual, one organization or one sector. DCLF is a collaboration-focused leadership program bringing public and private sector professionals together for personal development, leadership skills development and networking. Collaboration-focused leadership is critical for adaptive and partnership situations, and powerful and relevant within any organization or community. This approach requires values, skills, relationships, perspectives and actions beyond a traditional leadership approach. Through the 10-month program, participants focus on collaborative leadership skill-building, relationship building, personal development and transformative experiences, with an emphasis on leadership with a broad community impact.

DCLF topics include: • emotional intelligence • systems thinking • teamwork • mindfulness • core leadership values • plus customized topics The 10-month program consists of: • 8 in-person, 1-2-day sessions • 5-day nature-based experience in the Colorado mountains • site visits with local collaborative leaders • homework between sessions (readings, personal reflections and related activities) • leadership assessments
