PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAMS
For more than 30 years, the University of Colorado Denver School of Public Affairs has inspired, trained and supported government, nonprofit and private sector professionals and elected officials with professional development and leadership programs. The more than 5,000 alumni of our professional programs have trusted the School of Public Affairs to join them as a catalyst, guide and facilitator in their leadership journeys. We believe that leadership is embodied by people at all levels of an organization and in the community. We also believe that leadership is rooted in self-awareness, and is an approach and set of adaptive skills that anyone can learn. When our participants commit to their own growth, we commit to them by providing flexible, engaging, evidence-informed and continuously improved learning experiences. Our programs offer a combination of inspiration, information and implementation skills to help our participants more deeply understand their “why” while exploring new ways to approach the “how” of their leadership and management. Our approach is to combine academic knowledge, theory and frameworks with real-world leadership examples in a way that provides new insights to participants. Our in-person sessions strive to put experiential learning at the forefront and use the experiences and knowledge of our participants to deepen the understanding of the many ways of leading. Whether your time allows you to attend a 2-day workshop, a week-long residential program or a 10-month leadership journey, the School of Public Affairs has a program to help you develop new skills and amplify your strengths.
