The UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center is celebrating more than two decades of memories and looking forward to a vibrant future ahead. Not only a versatile venue for business and campus leaders, it is also a gathering place for celebrating and remembering. PERFECT LOCATION

Located on the campus of the University of Central Florida, across from the Addition Financial Arena, the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center offers easy access to major highways and is less than 30 minutes from Orlando International Airport and the theme park area.

The UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center is a unique venue because of our team and the mission we serve. For more than two decades, we have had the honor of hosting celebrated-life events while upholding one of the university’s core values: providing students with experience-based learning opportunities. Under the mentorship of our full-time management team, our professional student-event team will lend its expertise to make every component of your event exceptional.

GRAND BALLROOM

The Grand Ballroom may be divided into two or three separate rooms. Each room features superior acoustics and audio-visual capability with electronically retractable screens. The ballroom has three sets of glass French doors that provide open access to Knights Terrace.

DR. HITT LIBRARY

The library is just off the main lobby and serves as the perfect space for video shoots, bridal parties, green room and private meetings. Ample seating and a vaulted natural wood ceiling create an inviting and relaxing atmosphere.

THE BEGINNING OF SOMETHING WONDERFUL

The UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center boasts a beautiful Grand Ballroom, stellar service and a warm atmosphere that will wow your guests upon arrival. The contemporary architecture and lush landscaped walkway create a grand entrance for your guests. Friends and family can gather in the lobby for a cocktail reception. The lobby features floor-to-ceiling glass windows and slate flooring.

GRAND BALLROOM

The Grand Ballroom is the centerpiece of the venue, boasting 4,800 sq. ft. of space. It accommodates more than 200 guests for dinner and dancing, making this space one of the largest ballrooms in East Orlando. The ballroom has glass French doors leading to Knights Terrace commemorative brick patio, which overlooks the Alumni Lawn. Our packages include the screen and projectors to play a video or display a monogram.

BUILDING Tradition

On Nov. 4, 2005, the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center opened its doors, finally giving alumni a permanent home on our university’s beautiful main campus thanks to a $1.2 million gift from FAIRWINDS Credit Union.

Shortly after our grand opening celebration, we lost our dear friend and former director of alumni relations, Manny Rodriguez. In his honor, we established the Manny Rodriguez ’75 Endowment to provide ongoing support for the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center facility. One of Manny’s last requests was that other members of the UCF family support this endowment so past, present and future alumni will always have a home at UCF.

KNIGHTS TERRACE

Leave a lasting memory with a custom-engraved brick hand-laid into the beautiful Knights Terrace at the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center!

Available in three configurations, bricks can be used to commemorate your own or a loved one’s UCF graduation; honor your fraternity, sorority or other campus organization; or mark a special milestone.

Whatever person or event you choose to recognize, your brick on Knights Terrace will serve as a permanent reminder of your lifelong connection to your alma mater.

MEMORIES & MILESTONES

Knights Terrace is peppered with numerous meaningful messages, but perhaps none more special than that of its first brick proposal. Michele McGlamory, ’10, and Rob Brunjes, ’11, (below) cemented the start of their new life together on Nov. 21, 2014.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Whatisthedepositfee?

The deposit is 50% of the room rental fee and is due when the contract is signed.

What does the rental fee cover?

The rental fee covers the cost of the use of the facilities. All other items (linens, projector and screen, cocktail tables, dance floor, podium, microphones, easels, etc.) fall under event-related expenses. Invoices include an 18% service fee and tax (if applicable) added to the final bill. The service fee covers set up, break down and coordination of your event. Weekend events are subject to an additional fee.

Is a dance floor included in the rental fee?

A dance floor can be provided for an additional fee.

What is the rental duration?

Weekday events Monday through Friday are entitled to an eight-hour rental. Weekend events are entitled to a six-hour rental block inclusive of setup and breakdown. Additional time may be purchased at $150 per hour. Weekend events are subject to additional fees.

HowdoIreservespace?

Once you have verified with our team that your date is available, please fill out a simple reservation form. Our team directory and online reservation form can be found at UCFalumnicenter.com.

Space can only be reserved with a completed online reservation form, signed contract and proper deposit.

CanIhaveanoff-campuscatererformyevent?

All catering must be coordinated with an approved vendor of the University of Central Florida. The list of approved vendors consists of on- and off-campus vendors.

Isalcoholpermitted?

Yes. Clients may coordinate their own alcohol through an approved caterer. A state-licensed vendor is required to serve the alcohol at your event.

HowmayIdecorate?

Decorations must be approved by the UCF FAIRWINDS Alumni Center management. Decorations are permitted only in the space you have reserved. It’s the responsibility of the renter to remove all decorations immediately after your event. No rice (including puffed rice or biodegradable rice), birdseed, confetti, glitter or other similar materials may be used inside or outside the alumni center. Bubbles are permitted outside only. Decorations may not be affixed to the walls, doors, windows, window coverings, chairs, painted surfaces or hung from the ceiling. Fog machines, dry ice and/or open flames are not permitted. No hand-held candles are permitted inside.
