ATHLETICS
FOURS UP
STRATEGIC PLAN
Bruins, After more than 12 months of listening, study and collaboration across the campus community, we are proud to unveil the “Fours Up” strategic plan for UCLA Athletics. Over 120 student-athletes, coaches and university staff members served on planning committees, and many more participated in meetings, focus groups and surveys. Together, we are charting the course for UCLA Athletics to boldly lead and excel for the next five years and beyond. It starts with our new mission: UCLA Athletics develops champions through academic excellence, competitive greatness and social responsibility. The mission is the North Star for our department. Studentathletes and their holistic development are the core of everything we do. To execute the mission, we have set ambitious goals related to academic and athletic performance, established four pillars that serve as the foundation and aspiration of our work, and outlined strategic priorities that provide a blueprint for success. It is both our honor and responsibility at UCLA to uphold the elite standard those four letters represent. Bruins have always blazed trails, broken barriers and changed the game. Now, we are striving for our next chapter to be just as BIG, if not better. Go Bruins!
