Welcome... Milwaukee is referred to often as “America’s best-kept secret. With its outgoing residents and year-round calendar of events, the city enjoys a growing reputation as a destination that will never disappoint.

Crisp air and snowy landscapes greet visitors to Milwaukee this time of year. The heartiest enjoy outdoor recreation and sights, but there are plenty of indoor activities to keep everyone entertained. Milwaukee has wonderful restaurants in neighborhoods all across the city. <RXªOO ÎQG FXLVLQHV IURP DURXQG WKH ZRUOG Our museums warmly welcome winter visitors. The Milwaukee Art Museum, Discovery World, The Milwaukee Public Museum and Betty Brinn Children’s Museum are favorites. And, look to our universities and neighborhoods for smaller museums, which are gems of culture and information. As the cool weather sets in, the performing arts heat up. Our symphony, ballet and theatre companies are all world class. Milwaukee weather pushes many inside, and GXULQJ RXU ZLQWHU LQVLGH LV D ÎQH SODFH WR EH

Traditionally, the fate of February’s pleasantness or unpleasantness in Milwaukee County is determined by whether or not the Milwaukee County Zoo’s groundhog, Wynter, sees her shadow. But looking at the diverse events and welcoming neighborhoods of Milwaukee County, it’s clear that fun and memorable experiences are available even if the shadow appears. Milwaukee County stays lively in cold weather, from ice skating at Red Arrow Park to sledding at parks across the county. For indoor activities, try one of our world class restaurants and pubs, take in a Bucks game or check out the latest in automotive technology at the Greater Milwaukee Auto Show. No matter what you choose to do in Milwaukee County, I hope you enjoy your time with us.
