Partners and Affiliates As a regional graduate and undergraduate medical education campus of the UCSF School of Medicine, UCSF Fresno conducts its training and patient care through a network of affiliated partners. Medical students, residents and fellows work and train in a variety of training sites with an impressive list of specialists at major hospitals, health agencies and programs, clinics and physicians’ offices and wilderness medicine settings. With the only Level 1 Trauma Center between San Francisco and Sacramento in the north and Los Angeles to the south, a regional burn center, acute care hospitals and numerous non-hospital programs, Fresno is the center of health care in the San Joaquin Valley.
