Now we are standing at a time of great change. Education is the only heritage that we can give a generation that will have to make the transition and thus for a time bear the world on its shoulders, like Herakles relieving Atlas. Now responding to that change, we reply with some seriousness that the burden of this education falls on teacher who must prepare these young heroes destined to carry on our tradition of freedom and dignity.

Cultivate Virtue. Classical Education students are afforded the unique opportunity to cultivate virtue in the hearts and minds of elementary and secondary students by apprenticing at a local classical school. The apprenticeship enables students to put their knowledge into action, honing their pedagogical skills as they teach alongside a mentor committed to the revitalization of education.

Classical education graduate students conveniently integrate onsite summer courses with online courses during the school year while earning up to 12 credit hours for their teaching apprenticeship. All three degree options offer a level of flexibility in curriculum design so that you can customize a program of study appropriate to your personal, professional and intellectual goals.

Instill Wisdom. Learn how to instill wisdom in the hearts and minds of your students from the most accomplished and experienced classical educators in the nation. For over sixty years, the University of Dallas faculty have inspired generations of teachers through their passion and profound knowledge of the classical tradition.
