There are a lot of big things happening involving our Men’s Basketball program, and we are only getting started. This newsletter will hit on some of the key events that have taken place within the Titans program, and some that are currently in motion. We are in the process of building a special, and sustainable program, congruent with the rebuilding of the city of Detroit itself. It is always a great time to be a Titan, but the best is yet to come. GO TITANS!

Match-ups for the doubleheader at Little Caesars Arena

Coach Alexander along with his colleagues Greg Kampe, Tom Izzo and John Beilein,

With the brand new, state of the art, Little Caesars Arena only months away from completion, a major announcement in the college basketball world just took place involving your Detroit Mercy Titans. A doubleheader has been scheduled for December 16 th, 2017 and the Titans will be the first college basketball game ever played in the new Little Caesars Arena. Their opponent, the University of Michigan. Our game will be followed by Michigan State University squaring off against Oakland University. This is a great event not only for our program, but the city of Detroit, and we’re looking forward to partnering with Little Caesars Arena now and in the future.

Wise Words from Titan Great Eli Holman Former Detroit Mercy standout, Eli Holman, met with our current Titans to share his experiences from his college days and now from playing professionally overseas. He truly connected with our players and gave them a clear understanding what it takes to be great. Eli is currently playing in China, and recently donated the new StudentAthlete Academic Center in Calihan Hall.
