Under the heading of you learn something new every day: An article in our news section about billionaires buying up planets (p17), makes mention of a certain Mr Listner, Space Lawyer. ‘Hmmm,’ I thought. ‘Space Lawyer...’ ‘…I wonder…’ I thought a bit harder, ‘…where does one go to learn space law?’ And then, thinking even harder still, ‘…more to the point, who teaches space law?’ Until finally, this gem popped into my head: ‘Who on Earth decides space law?’ That’s when my head exploded. So I did what any 21st Centurian does after their head explodes – I turned to that old mainstay of truth and justice and the American Way: Google. And what did I discover? Many things! Space Law is a relatively new thing. The first-ever space lawyer, Mr Michael Dodge, graduated in 2008 from the National Centre for Remote Sensing, Air and Space Law at the University of Mississippi. Apparently the University of Mississippi is the planet’s ‘space law expert.’ Who’d have thunk it? I’m assuming at this point that they’re qualified to be described as the ‘experts.’ They no doubt obtained their licence to teach space law at the nearest dedicated space law institute on Alpha Centauri, and I am also assuming that Earth’s space law would need to be the same as, oh, say, every other planet in the blinking universe. But you know what they say about assumptions. Anyhow, it seems that since the graduation of Mr Dodge, space law (in the United States at least) has moved ahead in leaps and bounds. Other universities now teach it, a Journal of Space Law has been established, a ‘round table’ of space lawyers has sprung up, along with conferences and, apparently, plenty of job opportunities. Say what? Job opportunities? At this point I turned off Google, scooped up what was left of my shattered brains and started thinking again. Who on earth employs space lawyers? Well, I guess, aerospace companies. But… how many of those are there, exactly? And how often do they argue amongst themselves? And just how many of those arguments require legal advice? I dunno. My brain isn’t what it used to be, and maybe I’m over-thinking things, but I just don’t see space-lawyering as a boom industry. Although… At least now all those farmers who had their livestock sucked up by UFOs have somewhere to lodge a claim…

JANUARY- FEBRUARY 2012 Warner, 1 January 2012, 12:03am At approximately 12:03am after seeing in the New Year, I went out on my back deck to smoke my cigar for New Year as I have done for over fifteen years. I observed three orange lights appear from the horizon in a S/W direction — one light was further in front of the other two as they all climbed at the same steady rate in an almost vertical climb. They took around 5-7 minutes to climb high enough to be lost in the clouds, but as the first two lights disappeared, the last light stayed low enough for me and my partner to observe the object flying in an NW direction. I watched the object for a further 4-5 minutes until it was obscured by clouds. The whole time I watched there was no sound at all. There were also no navigation lights on the objects.
Coolangatta, 1 January 2012, evening On New Years Day, 01/01/2012, while the fireworks were happening, there were two bright orange ‘lights’ that flew over the fireworks at Coolangatta. They were a bright uniform orange, no flickering or flashing at all. They flew one after the other, about a minute apart, on exactly the same flight path, in an arc from the S - SE, then back out to sea to the NE. Their elevation would have been around 500m, but gradually descending as they approached the fireworks, and ascending afterwards as they headed out to sea. The first passed over while the fireworks were still going, the second around 30 seconds after they had ended. These fireworks were approximately 1.5km from my house, which is on the beach at Bilinga. I grabbed the binoculars for a closer look, but could not get any sort of focus on them, and they are decent binoculars. Also the objects didn’t make any sound
4
that I could hear (after the fireworks). I would estimate their speed to be over 100km an hour. Also, they weren’t moving around like something in the wind would, and there was only a light breeze that night. Total time sighted would have been 2-3 minutes. Since this happened I have been researching sightings, and it seems there are a lot of this nature. Before this happened I had never heard of anything like it, I’d only heard of flashing lights and white lights and such. Since these happenings I’ve been watching the sky a lot closer. This is to do with contrails (or chemtrails). I noticed a trail stretching across the sky, south to north, and noticed the plane. This seemed normal, as Brisbane is to the north. Over two hours later the trail was still there, but much thicker, like a big long cloud. This is when I noticed two short parallel trails, going west to east. Over the next hour or so over a half dozen more appeared, all going west to east, but short and streaky, and I didn’t see any planes. I have seen many other things at night, all of which have been explainable (to me at least). I once had the entire sky light up green for a few seconds (meteor); saw a funny light that seemed to be shaking, getting brighter (helicopter coming straight at me at speed with its search light on); a lighter shape against the hills (helicopter with no lights on, was wondering what it was, then heard it); funny shapes flitting around the buildings on the beach front (flocks of seagulls); funny dark V-shaped objects (migrating geese or similar); a funny orange/red light near the horizon (Venus rising through scattered clouds). Also many strange looking shooting stars. As you can see I am very observant, and like to solve things. Everything has an explanation. These
few experiences recently have really got me wondering.
Nanango, 7 January 2012, 9.40pm A light came quite quickly moving WSW from the direction of the Sunshine Coast, tuned almost due south over Nanango and continued to the horizon. It was a single but very bright distinctly yellow light, dimming occasionally, (but not blinking) and there was no apparent aircraft noise. Not at all like anything else I have ever seen in the sky.
Glenwood, 9 January 2012, 7.15pm I wish to report a sighting of what I believe to be some kind of UFO by strict definition. I am a 53-year old schoolteacher on holidays. Last night at about 7.15pm I observed an unusual light in the sky. It was about the same brightness and size as Venus in the west, but this was in the wrong position to be Venus and it was moving. The object was a steady bright white light, there were no flashing lights or red and green navigation lights as with a plane. If it was a terrestrial plane it appeared low enough that I should surely hear it, but there was no sound at all. It was moving in a south easterly direction at a very steady pace, and on what appeared to be a very straight course. The speed never varied nor did its unwavering course. I watched it for about five or more minutes, and it moved almost completely out of view after having crossed most of the visible night sky from my viewpoint. It did not behave like any terrestrial craft that I am familiar with and given the lack of sound and nav/strobe lights, I would have to call it unidentified.
Old Kirra Raceway, 14 January 2012, 8.00pm I wish to report a couple of strange incidents which I have witnessed
ufO encounter
recently. The most recent, and the reason I have decided to report, occurred last Saturday (14th January 2012). It was at my work, which is the old Kirra Raceway (horses). The old stables have been converted into sheds, which are used to store and distribute junk mail and newspapers. I fold and deliver these for some extra income; go to the sheds at night and fold, deliver the next day. Anyway, last Saturday night I arrived at the shed at 8:30pm with a takeaway burger, which I was going to eat in the car. The light in the shed was on, which is odd because the place is usually deserted after dark. I opened the car door to get out and, looking straight out the windscreen, noticed a small red light descending slowly, and irregularly moving from side to side. There is a low hill behind where I was looking, which is a very dark silhouette against the sky, and at first I thought the red light was a car on the hill. Then almost immediately I realised two things: there are no roads there, and also that the light was in front of some trees that were around 100 - 150m away. So I thought it was maybe a remote control helicopter or something. I stepped away from the car for a better look, and this thing shot back up in the air to a height of about 50m, the light going out as it did so. There was some scattered high cloud, no moon up yet, so the sky was mostly dark, with lighter cloudy patches. There was cloud behind the hill, which I could now see this object silhouetted against. It appeared to hang in the same spot for several seconds, tumbling slowly, and changing shape. At first it appeared to be maybe two small cars end to end, irregular in shape, but also appeared to be making itself smaller. It seemed then to be drifting slowly towards me just to my right, slowly increasing altitude. It was becoming harder to see as there was a clear patch of sky above me, but I could still just see the shape against the stars, as well as the occasional reflection off a flat shiny surface. It was still 50 - 100 metres above me. At this stage it looked much more compact. Maybe 20 metres past me I lost sight of it, I just couldn’t see it anymore. During the whole time the object made no sound at all. It never appeared to be smooth, or like a disc or sphere or anything. The only light was the small red one at the start. There was a light wind blowing, and apart from me the place was deserted. I was feeling a bit vulnerable where I was so jumped in the car and went home to eat my dinner. I went back out later for a look around, but it had started raining heavily.
ufO encounter
As I said at the start, I’m at this location a lot by myself late at night, sometimes five nights a week. I’ve joked to the boss about a resident ghost, but she doesn’t like to hear it. There are funny noises, the light went out once, there are doors opening and closing. Maybe it’s not a ghost. The funny thing about this is, just about all of the UFO reports you hear of are of bright lights in the sky. Almost like they want to be seen. IF this was a UFO (emphasise the if), it definitely did not want to be seen. That’s the unsettling part. If I was not looking right at it at when I did, I would definitely not have seen it. And I’ve got good eyes too, have done a lot of night boat driving, as well as night fishing without any light or torches (scares the fish). You can sort of train yourself to see better at night, using shadows, silhouettes and reflections. And I know there was definitely something there.
Albany Creek, 18 January 2012, 1.00am I’ve always been quite agnostic when it comes to UFOs and I’ve seen some strange things in the past, however I am very freaked out right now! I went outside for a ciggie about 1.00am and saw four red lights [diagram below] in the northern sky. They caught my eye immediately and appeared to be hovering in a square formation and blinking slowly, but not like a commercial plane.
I was mesmerized as I watched them and my skin crawls with goose bumps as I type this. I stared transfixed at them until one at a time they just disappeared.
Townsville, January-February 2012 I quite enjoy investigating strange sightings in my spare time in North Queensland. Recently I have received reports of a strange flying creature in Townsville. About a month ago two separate people witnessed a flying object in the sky at night. They described the object to look somewhat like a bat, with bat-like wings but the
body of a man. The object was very dark. Without looking into this further, this sighting seems quite similar to the Mothman sightings of West Virginia USA that are now UFO folk law. Possibly a couple of people with an excessive imagination?? Perhaps, however my investigation on this is still ongoing, but thought I would shoot you guys an email and see if you have had any similar reports recently?? Whether it be in the north Queensland area or Australia wide. (Editor’s note: Regular readers will know that this is not the first sighting report of a ‘flying man’ received from North Queensland.)
Currumbin Creek, 1 February 2012, dusk As I was pulling into the Currumbin Creek carpark I noticed a bright light that wasn’t a plane. I thought maybe it was a helicopter. I lost sight of it for a few seconds, and when it was back in sight it didn’t really look like a helicopter anymore. I parked the car as quick as I could, jumped out and as I was grabbing my phone (camera) from my pocket, the light winked out but the object was still visible. It appeared around 1/3 the size of a full moon, and at a guess around 500 metres away, no more than 100m off the ground. It was roughly 100 metres off the beach around the 3rd Ave area (Palm Beach). At first it was slowly drifting east, then back west (only slightly, a few metres or so), then started heading off towards the NNW, before I lost sight of it. The wind was around 25kts SSW, so it was quite windy. It also means it was moving nearly 90 degrees to the wind direction. The light was initially yellowish, but was more orange as it went out. Could quite possibly have been a lantern, but it would have been a big one, as it took a while to lose sight of it. After the light went out it appeared as a dark silhouette, roundish in shape. The whole episode lasted about 45 seconds, from first seeing the light, until I lost sight of the silhouette. I took a few photos anyway, hoping something would turn up. There is something in the two photos that has changed position, and is about the right size. It appears brownish in the photos. In the first it’s slightly to the left of the orange light in the middle of the pic, in the second it’s a little higher, just to the right.
Varsity Lakes, 8 February 2012, 9.15pm My friend and I saw three white orbs on the 8/02/12 at approximately 9:15pm in Varsity Lakes Queensland. They were circling in the sky and making unexplainable manoeuvres. They were very faint as they were above the clouds,
5
yet we could still see the lights from them. They were circular looking and lasted for about 1 hour and a half.
Mackay, 14 February 2012, 4.22am and 4.30am This is my first ever report of a UFO. I am a passionate follower of satellites and general astronomy, so even though I have my nose in the air quite often, I also know exactly what to look for when identifying a satellite or anything similar. 1st sighting: Time 4.22am, in the sky SSW of Mackay at an altitude of about 40° East, moving SSW. It was a red solid light that seemed to shoot a red flare out to the East (I thought that it may be space junk reentry at first). Then three red lights seemed to be rotating, or flashing, underneath it. No sound, no navigation lights (like a helicopter or plane). It was travelling at about the speed of a satellite and seemed to be at about satellite height. 2nd sighting: Time approximately 4.30am, n the sky to the South of Mackay at an altitude of about 30° East, moving to the South. It was a bar of horizontal white lights (probably about 5-7 lights, it was a fair way away) that looked a bit like a jet airliner side-on, but instead of travelling left to right, or right to left, it just kept travelling South like a side-on plane. No navigation lights and no noise, but it seemed much further away. Slow travelling to the South and wandering just a little.
Gold Coast, 18 February 2012, 12.20am I live in Sorrento on the Gold Coast and spotted two objects in the air. They were bright orange with a tinge of red in the middle. It was in the far distance, side by side. I usually see planes come in from this location before they make a right hand turn and go to land. This was very different as objects were moving very slowly and were hovering in an up and down motion and kept moving north. Then I noticed a third bright orangey red object behind the first two objects. The three objects kept proceeding north, moving slowly in an agitating-hovering motion would best describe it. I would assume from where I live these objects were over the ocean. I ran inside the house to get a camera. I was excited. I looked everywhere, went back outside and saw the objects heading North-East out to sea. This time they were above each other. I lost sight of the third object, and don’t know where that one went. The two objects proceeded to head east and then got covered by light clouds and
6
disappeared. The whole experience lasted about 10 minutes. The objects or glow was a convex shape, but stretched upwards in the middle.
Terranora, February 2012, 9.45pm I would like to report an incident that happened over Terranora about a month ago. It was approximately 9 .45pm and I was on the computer out on our veranda. My wife was in the back garden with the dog before going to bed when she called out ‘George come and look at this.’ I said ‘no I’ve got no shoes on,’ and she said ‘I think you should see this,’ so I ran down in time to see a bright orange ball of light moving overhead. My wife said it flew directly over our house, although I didn’t witness this. The orange ball had shards of light coming out in all directions, and I thought at first it was my eyes playing tricks, so I asked my wife to fetch the binoculars (I should have asked for the camera). The light coming out of it was still there, and she said she could see it too as it moved out over some trees. It stopped moving and stayed in one spot for three or four minutes, then the lights seemed to retract into it. The object would go very dim, then slowly move off, then it would stop and go very bright again — out came the shards of light and it would just hang motionless again. Every time it moved off it would go dim, and every time it stopped it would go very bright again. This happened three or four times before it disappeared behind some trees. I feel very privileged to have witnessed this strange event indeed.
Gold Coast, 2004
was definitely not a plane or helicopter. This was the first time she had ever experienced anything like it.
Katanning, late 1996, approximately 7.00-9.00am I was 15 at the time, and had just left the local abattoirs (now named WAMMCO international) and was walking the two kilometres back into Katanning by walking along the great southern highway. I had walked about one kilometre approximately into the journey when I looked towards the east and in plain view saw a metallic object the size of a small cottage that appeared to be on fire about one kilometre from my position. The object was metallic with a colour of orange fire, flying low, and I estimated its height by the tall eucalyptus trees it was above to be about 150 meters off the ground. It was travelling south to north above farmland at about 15-20 kilometres an hour. I felt panicked and waited for a car to go by and flag them down, but the highway was eerily silent. I observed the object until it got out of view. I went home and tried to find a Bureau of Meteorology number as I believed it was an asteroid or meteor at the time. However, after thinking about it recently and doing a web search on the matter I found that it can not have been a meteor as they travel about 1000km/h, and found endless fireball UFO sightings like mine.
Nerang, 22 November 1993, 11.00am The witness observed a perfectly round metallic object with port holes about half the size of a soccer field.
A young woman was attending Bond University and was driving home just after midnight on the road to Helensvale near the beer factory. She was alone on the road and noticed a very bright white silent light approaching her vehicle from behind. It was approximately 100 metres high but as it got closer it descended to only 50 metres above her car. She became very frightened as it paced her car for about 10 minutes, following her car exactly into the many twists and turns on that road. When she caught sight of other vehicles ahead she accelerated to be nearer to them and as she did the object departed. She was extremely frightened through the entire episode. She stated this

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS IN AUSTRALIA INVESTIGATION BY SHERYL AND MARTIN GOTTSCHALL
Following the publication of a brief article in the Gold Coast Sun newspaper on November 30, 2011, we suddenly found ourselves overrun with reports from that area. Following is one such report and subsequent investigation, conducted by Martin and myself, of a woman who had a series of UFO sightings eventually culminating in two hours of missing time. Katrena lives on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, and had always been interested in UFOs since the George Adamski books were published when she was a child. Her earliest recollection of a strange sighting was when she was living on the north island of New Zealand near Hamilton, in a place like a commune where she did a bit of work and in return received free accommodation. Here, at age 17 to 18 Katrena lived in beautiful surroundings while meeting interesting people and deciding what to do with her life. At one stage she was living on an orchard, and one night about 10.30pm, while walking

home from visiting a friend, Katrena noticed a light in the sky like a star, except it was moving.
paddock, and low-slung hills which were difficult to overcome without endangering her life, so she gave up.
In the distance of low set hills, Katrena watched the object as it hovered and moved. Quite astounded she wished it would come closer so she could see what the object was. She began to flash the torch that she was carrying on and off. The ‘star’ was at least 100 yards from where she was standing, and she watched it for at least 20 minutes as it hovered and maneuvered along the top of the nearby hills that surrounded the valley where she was standing.
Later, Katrena came to live in Sydney, Australia, and one day she and her family were at Bondi Beach. Hundreds of people were on the beach swimming and sun bathing and just enjoying themselves. Soon Katrena looked up in the sky to see a huge silver object, larger than the biggest plane she had ever seen. She asked her husband what it was but he replied she was only seeing a plane. However, the object had no wings which had her mystified as she watched it glide along above Bondi Beach but soon vanishing. Later she discovered that other people on the beach had seen it too. At no stage did Katrena or her family see any wings on the object, which in her mind ruled out that it was a plane.
Finally, the object slowly descended down behind the hills and as it descended it changed through every colour of the rainbow. Although she wanted to explore the object further Katrena could not climb the hills at night as she felt it was too dangerous, so the next day she attempted to climb towards the direction where the object had landed, but found herself faced with barbed wire fences, a bull’s
On another occasion Katrena was living on Pymble Hill on the North Shore in Sydney. The house where she lived was Artwork by Katrena

heavily haunted and she would often break out in a rash from the stress of being in the house. On one particular day, Katrena observed a brilliant light in the distance as if the sun was reflecting off an object. It was moving very fast and heading right over her house, and as it got closer she could see it was a huge cigar-shaped object with a black pyramid shape on the back. She then ran out onto the front lawn to keep watching the object as it headed up the coastline. She later spoke to another witness who saw the same thing. Eventually Katrena came to live on the Gold Coast, where she settled into a unit block in about 1994. One day she arose early and went downstairs to the kitchen and was looking out over the back fence when she observed “a couple of guys that didn’t look human because they were short, skinny, wiry and pitch black. Their skin appeared to be either like latex and they were completely naked, or else they had total skin covering in a latex-type material over their bodies.” Katrena was amazed to see them walking together up the back yard, but as she opened the back door to have a better view the two beings quickly vanished. Shortly after that Katrena was in bed when she was awakened by a strange high-pitched whining sound. At the time she had been reading in the paper about sightings of a yellowish-orange

object being reported by witnesses from as far south as Melbourne and all the way up the coast. Suddenly she sat bolt upright in bed, something she never did, and through the tree outside she could see a massive orange object that looked like it had landed in the nearby horse paddock. Initially Katrena thought it was a hot air balloon that had come down in the paddock, so she jumped out of bed and ran downstairs to have a look, but it had vanished. By this time Katrena was beginning to wonder what was going on in her life with all these sightings. However all these things had only been a lead up to an experience where Katrena and her daughter experienced two hours of missing time, her strangest experience of all. This occurred one day when Katrena was with her youngest daughter at home. She was getting organized for their trip into Burleigh Heads, and her daughter was watching television from 10am to 12 noon while Katrena was going about her various preparations to leave. They both travelled in the car to Burleigh Heads when they suddenly realized that the time was much later than they thought. Katrena kept asking her daughter “what’s happened to the time?” Her daughter then realised that between 10am and 12 noon, when she was supposed to be watching TV, that she had no mental recollection whatsoever of the shows she was supposed to have watched. Katrena had the feeling that “someone had put a big crank in the world and sped time up because it was getting dark” when it shouldn’t have been, and her daughter agreed. Soon after Katrena’s daughter began having horrible nightmares where ugly old men were chasing her. These nightmares continued for three months, and eventually her daughter told her mother that she was standing up to the men in her dreams and no longer letting them chase her. Subsequently the nightmares stopped. Following this, one morning Katrena was waking up and found herself between the dream and the awake state. Suddenly she found herself reliving part of what actually happened.
She was lying flat on her back where she was either too scared to move, terrorized and frightened, or she was restrained in some way. It was fairly dimly lit and Katrena couldn’t concentrate on what the beings surrounding her looked like, but she knew she was totally surrounded by a type of intelligence. She sensed that these beings were very curious about humans. It was the most terrifying, horrifying experience for Katrena so far. Eventually she discovered a metallic object in a private area of her body. She went to a female doctor who told her she would need stitches to remove the object. She went to another doctor who said she’d show it to Katrena when she took it out. So Katrena gave this doctor permission to remove the object, but once she had, she didn’t show it to Katrena. Later Katrena returned to the doctor and asked what it was but was told it was just a cyst. After this Katrena developed difficulties sleeping and she realized that her psychic abilities had increased to a high level. Katrena decided to take advantage of this and began to frequent the casino, eventually winning enough money to take her children on eight holidays in the Whitsunday Islands from the money she won. Eventually she realized she was getting hooked on gambling so she stopped and now channels that energy into her art and her music.

where are YOU on this map? Steve Pearse Š Last September 19th, 2011, marked the 50th anniversary of the Betty and Barney Hill case, one of the world's best known and documented cases of alien abduction ever recorded in the history of Ufology. On a lonely road in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, the Hills became victim to the perfect crime of a horrific abduction by the occupants of an unknown flying object late at night. The Hills' story is a richly-detailed CEIII-5 abduction case with a highly unusual epic tale of being stopped by a group of humanoids on a side road, and taken aboard their landed spacecraft for medical examination. It soon became the most thoroughly investigated UFO case study ever, and their story got worldwide attention. Within a week after they arrived back home, both Betty and Barney Hill started having nightmares, flashbacks to the missing two hours of time that they could not account for. They were taken back by the scary thoughts and images that they were experiencing, and the anxiety they were feeling was absolutely overwhelming. Barney was becoming very troubled with everything, and he later confided with his personal doctor, who then referred Barney to another doctor in the same building, Dr. Duncan Stevens. After treating Barney for about six months, Dr. Stevens decided that the couple really needed to see a specialist in the field of psychotherapy who used hypnosis. Dr. Stevens then referred them to Dr. Benjamin Simon in Boston, Massachusetts, and their first consultation took place on December 14th, 1963. One of the more memorable events that took place while they were on board the alien spacecraft was Betty Hill's

impromptu question to the leader as she asks him: Where do you come from? She was very curious about their origins, and wanted to know where his home port was, so she asked him where he was from; and then, in response, he asked her if she knew anything about the universe. She advised him that she knew practically nothing. The leader being in the room with her then walked across the room and opened up a cabinet and pulled out a map from the opening in the wall. He put it up and then he asked her if she had ever seen a map like this before. Betty walked across the room and looked up to view the star map that she said was a three dimensional holographic image of the heavens. Betty says she leaned against the table that was in front of her. Under hypnosis Betty described the star map as being oblong. The star map that she was looking at had dots scattered all over it, some were little, some just pinpoints, and two others were as big as a nickel. She went into further detail as she said that she saw curved lines going from one dot to another. When Betty asked him to explain what the lines indicated, he told her that the broken lines were expeditions to other worlds. As she looked at the star map she wondered where he was from, and then out of curiosity asked him where he was from, but he never volunteered the answer. Instead he turned the question around and asked her: "Where are you on this map?" Betty chuckled and told him that she didn't know; and then he replied, "If you don't know where you are, there wouldn't be any point in my telling you where I am from." He never volunteered any specific information as to where their home world was at. John Fuller would later write the book The Interrupted Journey documenting the Betty and Barney Hill story. In the fall of 1966, an elementary school teacher named Marjorie E. Fish from Ohio entered the picture. At the MUFON UFO Symposium in 1974, she opened up and gave some background information on how her Zeta Reticuli Interpretation started. The following is her lead off statement: "I became interested in UFOs after reading Jacques Vallee's Anatomy of a Phenomenon late in 1966. Previously, Interrupted Journey had been read in the Post, but I didn't take it seriously as I did
not know about the many worldwide humanoid encounters. Once my interest was aroused, I remembered the star map (supposedly shown to Betty Hill by a UFOnaut). Here was something that could be checked. Either it represented a real set of stars which might be found and tell us something about the UFOnaut, or it might be remembered too poorly to help, or was totally fictitious. Even if a similar set of stars were found, it might be coincidental. But, unlike most UFO reports, the possibilities could be examined and the data rechecked." Marjorie Fish started working on her star map project, constructing model after model in hopes of making a breakthrough. In December 1968, Marjorie Fish had completed her final three-dimensional model of the nearer surroundings of our sun. This was the 26th model that now used Zeta Reticuli as the base-star start point. In 1969, the new addition of the "Catalogue of Nearby Stars" by W. Gliese was printed, and Fish used this catalog to finalize her theory. The Wilhelm Gliese catalog that she used was at Ohio State University (OSU) and she had to hand copy all of her data by hand from this book, since she was not allowed to check the catalog out of the library. With this new data some of the star positions could be corrected. After a long period of trial and error, and the repeated construction of the star map, her model configuration finally seemed to fit the pattern of the stars that were in Betty's map. In August 1969 Betty Hill met with Marjorie Fish in her home in Portsmouth, N.H. for the first time, to talk about her Zeta Reticuli Interpretation. Fish met Stanton Friedman in 1971. The first publication about the "Star Map" was an article of Stanton T. Friedman’s in the July 1973 issue of SAGA, and he also discussed Ms. Fish's work in his July 1973 MUFON paper. Marjorie Fish's MUFON paper was presented in July 1974. In 1974, Stanton Friedman also sent a copy of the article that he had co-written to his friend, astronomy writer Terence Dickinson, who was the Editor of Astronomy Magazine. Friedman suggested that he do an article about Fish's interpretation of the Betty Hill star map, and he agreed. The article was published in December 1974, and soon

erupted into a heated firestorm over the controversial theory. A scathing rebuttal written by Carl Sagan and Steven Soter immediately attacked by responding back to Astronomy Magazine. Sagan publicly stated that he couldn't believe the Betty and Barney Hill story, and said that the "The Zeta Reticuli Incident" article was very provocative. The UFO community welcomed Fish’s theory with open arms, while at the same time, the scientific community soundly rejected Fish's ZR Interpretation. For years I believed that Marjorie Fish's Zeta Reticuli Interpretation of Betty Hill's star map could be right, and that these beings might really come from Zeta Reticuli as Fish claimed. I had never really examined her work, and I had no reason to doubt her. I was vaguely aware of her Zeta Reticuli theory, I knew that it was very controversial, and now my opinion on her theory was about to dramatically change. Out of the blue, better information suddenly presented itself, and once I had the time to thoroughly investigate the new information and then compare it to her version of the star map, it became very obvious that her Zeta Reticuli Interpretation was wrong. Twelve years ago (December 2000) I was surfing the Internet doing research relating to the UFO Phenomenon and accidentally found some startling new information. It was a highly unique one on one conversation about where the "Greys" come from, and I had to wonder if this very unusual anecdotal story was real and not just made up. My thoughts were that if it was real, it could be a major discovery that would change everything, and it might even potentially hasten disclosure one day. If there was a word that could best describe the turn of events that have taken place, then that word would be serendipity. Serendipity is the effect by which one accidentally discovers something fortunate, especially while looking for something else entirely. According to M.K. Stoskopf, "It should be recognized that serendipitous discoveries are of significant value in the advancement of science and often present the foundation for important intellectual leaps of understanding.” This amazing clue was found on Kay Wilson's web site: (www. alienjigsaw.com) while searching for other UFO information, and is the personal experience of Erik Wilson, Kay's husband. These two cases are 32 years apart and the common denominator is that the witnesses both had the courage to ask the beings where they came from. The conversation was so specific that the Being ends up telling Eric WIlson to look at a well-known
10
feature in the constellation Ursa Major in the Northern Hemisphere, the Big Dipper. Then, as the conversation continues, the Being also mentions that there is a triangle involved. My mind flashed immediately, as I recalled that there was a triangle in Betty Hill's star map too. This hot new information from a relatively unknown CE-5 case boldly challenges Marjorie Fish's Zeta Reticuli contentious theory about where the "Greys" come from. It all starts with knowledgeable first hand source of information (a Grey giving directions!) which soundly beats Fish’s theory by the sheer fact that it was voluntarily given to an inquisitive lifelong experiencer who also asked: Where do you come from? On the Wilson website this is what we read: In July of 1993, my husband Erik had an amazing alien encounter while we were living in Portland, Oregon. I was very careful to write down exactly what my husband said because an alien being specifically told him where he - or they were from. Erik remembered his experience immediately - no hypnosis was used. Erik's conversation with a Grey is as follows: "We go on the deck. I ask him, 'Are you from the Pleiades?' The Being adamantly replies, 'No.' I ask him where he is from. We look in the sky to see the Big Dipper. He says, 'See the Ursa Major?' I reply "Yes". The Being then tells me, 'The star cluster to the right and below. The one with the triangle to the left and the little stars in between...we're from that one. "The fourth planet from our sun." This is where things start to get interesting as the being unwittingly gave sufficient clues that could be instrumental in deciphering the secrets of the star map and finding their home star. I logged onto John Walker's virtual telescope 'Your Sky' and looked at the Big Dipper, and when I panned down, I discovered a nearly perfect isosceles triangle that perfectly matched what Betty Hill had drawn so many years ago. Months later I got a copy of Norton's Star Atlas 19th edition to help confirm the identity of the three stars. Empirical evidence is established by observation, and I was looking right at this Hubble telescope image of the heavens. I had to ask myself, who is the better authority to tell us where they come from, and without question Erik's conversation has to trump Marjorie Fish's Zeta Reticuli Interpretation. It all boils down to conjecture versus actual knowledge. The information given to Erik unlocks the door to Betty Hill's star map, as the alien being directs Erik's attention to the Big
Dipper. Discovered quite by accident, it contains vital clues that were then used to find what we now believe to be their true origins. This newly discovered CE-5 case gave highly specific information in an unprecedented revelation in an amazing one on one conversation about where they come from. I was shocked and amazed to think that this might allow us the opportunity to figure out where they really come from. In this astounding conversation, the key reference made during this startling conversation is the Being saying that there is a triangle on the left. Two separate cases three decades apart have asked the same question: Where do you come from? And now the information given to each of them individually clicks and opens that secret door, thus allowing us to formally connect these two cases together. Seeing that the triangle was nearly a perfect isosceles triangle and an uncanny match to the triangle in Betty Hill's star map, it allowed me to later conclude that Betty Hill's star map was actually Earth-based, and was in fact fairly accurate with minor corrections. In the Wilson case they are essentially giving us critical new information on how to find their home world. In both of these cases the conversation is about the location of their home star, and now these two cases are connected together like a puzzle piece showing us the way ‘home.’ The most shocking aspect was the discovery of the true location of Sol within the star map. I knew that the Betty Hill star map had a triangle on the left too. Seeing it for the very first time, I thought to myself that this had to be the same triangle in Betty Hill's star map. If this was real, then there had to be a star directly to the right of the triangle that could theoretically host a habitable planet by current scientific theory. Within several hours that star was identified as 61 Ursa Major, then I knew that I was on the right track. It was a truly amazing clue that shortly thereafter began an eight year scientific investigation and journey of discovery to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the star map drawn by Betty Hill in 1964 was fairly accurate as drawn. The combination of the star map in Betty and Barney Hill case with Kay and Erik Wilson's CE-5 case is the origin of the name for my new theory. My interpretation of Betty Hill's star map is called the Hill-Wilson star map, and it is the end result of a massive research project initiated by the amazing clue that was uncovered in the year 2000. One of the goals of this investigation was to finally build a bridge to the scientific world, in hope that I could help solve the UFO phenomenon by beating the scientific community to the punch of finding a second Earth. The ultimate goal was to find an alien planet capable of hosting a habitable planet with life, and

proving once and for all that the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis is the only logical explanation that can adequately explain the UFO phenomenon beyond a reasonable doubt, and finally ending the debate about the validity of visitation to our world by advanced extraterrestrial civilizations with the advanced technology and knowledge to travel through interstellar space. The star map mystery was broken in 2005, but the results had to remain secret, because I needed to start writing a thesis paper on my discovery. I also needed to research and study Marjorie Fish's Zeta Reticuli theory in detail to prove that her interpretation was wrong. I soon discovered that the selected pattern stars in the Zeta Reticuli Interpretation was outdated, and Fish’s claim that they were all Sun-like stars was not true. I wrote an article that appeared in the MUFON Journal in August 2009 to update the UFO community. The article made the front cover, and it was the lead article. According to Fish's theory, all the stars selected were within 55 light-years from the Sun in the direction of Zeta Reticuli. In this first article I focused my attention on Fish's triangle because Betty Hill was quoted saying that the triangle appeared quite prominent, and the literature indicated that the Ufonauts from Zeta Reticuli used the triangle to navigate the stars. Fish's triangle has always been a poor substitute in comparison to what Betty Hill had
drawn, but as it turned out it was minor issue. I knew that overturning a popular theory was going to be an uphill battle. Stanton Friedman quotes: No astronomer on Earth could have known that the triangle of background stars existed in its present geometric design - only UFOnauts coming toward our system from the Constellation Reticulum could have known those three shining stars existed in that position and would have plotted them in on their star map for visual orientation. [Friedman quote: SAGA's UFO Report Page 32, Vol. 2, No. 1, Fall 1974] It wasn't until the updated 1969 Gliese Catalogue of Nearby Stars became available to Marjorie that the last three stars with connecting lines, as well as the stars in the triangle, could be pinned down and identified in the Constellation Fornax. The triangle stars are identified by the Gliese numbers of 86.1, 95, and 97. With that specific star data, Marjorie had all the proof she needed to confirm that Betty's map could only have been drawn at the time as the result of contact with extraterrestrials! The above statement by Friedman saying that that no astronomer on Earth could have known that the triangle of background stars existed is false. Stars have many identifying numbers, and the Gliese Catalogue of Stars uses one of the many numbers that are used to identify a star. Gl 86.1 has 19 different identifiers' and Gl 138 (Zet Ret 2) for example has even more at 32 identifiers. What is significant in this case is the Henry Draper number (HD). All three of Fish's triangle stars have HD numbers, as do mine. The Henry Draper

Catalogue (HD) is an astronomical star catalog that was published between 1918 and 1924, giving spectroscopic classifications for 225,300 stars. The real triangle is visible from Earth, and the vantage point to view the star map has nothing to do with Zeta Reticuli. No alien or human is ever going to be able see Fish’s triangle, because in reality it has never existed. Since 1974 the advances in astronomy have grown by leaps and bounds, and much of what we thought we knew has turned out to be wrong, and this is certainly the case for the stars used in Fish’s theory. The passage of time hasn't helped Marjorie Fish's interpretation of the star map, and the end result is the fact that Fish's star map has simply failed to keep pace with modern astronomy, thus leaving major holes in her star map interpretation. Major discrepancies have come to light in regards to Fish's triangle positions number #13 and #15, which have now been proven to be much farther away, and out of bounds of Fish's working model "Psyche." It was a valiant effort on her part to try to break the secrets of the star map, and I admire her for her efforts, but now we must go forward without her because today's science is tolling a bell on her work. One of the main problems was that stars in the Southern Hemisphere were poorly observed and the observation data was faulty during this era. In the end number #13 and #15 have to be excluded. The distance of Gl 86.1 was previously thought to be 42.359 light years in 1969, and now HIPPARCOS has determined that the correct distance is actually 183.651 light years which puts this star far outside the boundary of Fish's model "Psyche." (Fish placed it close to the forefront of the star map.) We still have visibility issues too, since the star is a very faint 7.10 Vmag star. It's not in the close position that Fish thought, nor is it a bright and shining star as she proclaimed in her dissertation so many years ago. This is simply science fact. It cannot be seen or be considered to be prominent as Betty Hill was quoted saying. Another major problem for Fish's Triangle is Kappa Fornacis (Gl97), one of the closest stars that were thought to be 42.359 light years distant in 1969, and today HIPPARCOS has put this star’s true distance at 71.49 LY. This also puts its true location outside of the boundary of Fish's model "Psyche" too. The last star Gl 95's distance from Earth is 12.68pc (41.3368ly). It is the only star left, and it cannot form anything by itself. This effectively destroys the placement of Fish's Triangle as being part of the star map. Ironically Gl 97 has a better chance of hosting a habitable planet than most of Fish's primary selections. Today the reality is the fact that her Zeta Reticuli theory no longer has a
11
triangle, which simply compounds the problem. The triangle is a key feature of the star map. It takes on even more importance because Betty Hill is quoted as saying: "These triangle stars appeared quite prominent. It's true that the triangle is not a primary star, and not one of the 6 trade or 6 expedition destinations, but its positional relationship and position within the star map is of great importance. If you look at Betty Hill’s star map one can clearly see that Positions #10 and #3 fall between the upper portion of the triangle and the two lower bottom stars. Fish's triangle was based upon current information in 1969 that has been proven to be unreliable and simply wrong. The bottom line is the fact that Fish's Zeta Reticuli theory doesn't have a valid triangle, which has always been a key feature of the star map. So the question is can we really continue to believe that these Beings came from Zeta Reticuli? If they really did, one might think that the enigma of the UFO phenomenon would have made some progress. Unfortunately this is not the case; after nearly 40 years it's clear that the UFO community has to part company and move on. There is a process of arriving at some degree of probability, and logic dictates that we equate the statement that the triangle stars appear to be quite prominent to their actual naked eye magnitudes as seen on Earth's celestial sphere. Saying that the triangle stars appeared to be quite prominent is a clear inference that the naked-eye magnitudes of the triangle stars is an important consideration when we look at the star map. The bottom line is that the triangle should be visible according to our standard stellar magnitudes. The real triangle is below the Big Dipper, and as a courtesy to the readers of the UFO Encounter we are giving everyone the link to see the triangle that I found. When you look at the triangle-you'll understand the magnitude of the shock that I felt when I first gazed upon the real triangle in Betty Hill's star map. Triangle :Aim point RA: 12h 26m 32s Dec: +35°14'59" Even though I was confident that I was right, I still had to thoroughly examine Fish's Zeta Reticuli theory to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that she was wrong, and once I started to take a hard look at her work I was really shocked to see how she went about the task of identifying and using the two large nickel sized stars as base-stars and the start point in her Zeta Reticuli Interpretation. Betty Hill drew the map in 1964 under posthypnotic suggestion given to her by Dr. Benjamin Simon. It was to be drawn only if she could remember it accurately,
12
Note: Position number 10 is supposed to be directly to the right of the triangle, and appearing in the middle of it. Fish positions this below her triangle. The truth is that once you remove the lines from her star map, it shows little resemblance to what Betty Hill drew.
and she was not to pay attention to what she was drawing -- which puts it in the realm of automatic drawing. This is a way of getting at repressed or forgotten material and can result in unusual accuracy. A verbatim quote from Betty Hill while under hypnosis: "I walked across the room and I leaned against the table, and looked at it. And it was a map--it was an oblong map. It wasn't square. It was a lot wider than it was long. And there were all these dots on it. And they were scattered all over it." She said the map was a lot wider than it was long, which means it was elongated and oblong in the shape of a rectangle whose length is greater than its width. The dimensions of Fish's working display model "Psyche" was 3' X 2' X 3', so it kind of appears that its true size was modified to conform to Fish's Interpretation. The dimensions of three by two feet now seem to be inaccurate. Oblong is just
another word for rectangle. I'm certain that these Beings do not use our measurements, so any estimate of size is approximate at best. As far as the true size, a proper revaluation is that the estimated true size of the star map that was shown to Betty could have been up to 2.5' X 4'. Betty said "it was almost like looking out a window." The statement that it was a lot wider than it was long is a clear indication that 3' feet by 2' feet is probably understated. But, I'll still use this figure to explain the next situation. The two large nickel sized stars are the central feature of the star map. They stand out and you can immediately sense that the Being was trying to tell Betty something important, and he wanted her to understand. The dimensions of the star map was said to be three feet by two (36'x 24'), and using these given dimensions gives us the estimated spatial distance between the two nickel sized stars as drawn of at
ufO encounter
least six to eight inches. Marjorie Fish made the same mistake as Betty Hill did by calling them base stars, but Fish took this one step further by altering the spatial distance between them in order to claim that this was start point in her Zeta Reticuli Interpretion. The vantage point to view her ZR Interpretation was said to be from a "slice of space" that has never been identified. In researching the formulation of the ZR Interpretation, I uncovered more disturbing information. At the MUFON UFO Symposium held in Akron, Ohio in 1974, Fish stated that all the stars in her Zeta Reticuli theory were, and I quote: "all single, non-variable, sun-like stars". This is quite remarkable because the name itself identifies them as double stars, in astronomy double stars are designated as one and two, and it should be no surprise that Zeta Reticuli 1 and 2 are binary stars. It's very clear that she was trying to follow Dr. Kuiper's work that theorized in 1956 that multiple stars do not have planets. This posed a significant problem because binary stars were out of favor according to Kuiper’s theory, and now she had to tell a little white lie by calling them single stars to allow their inclusion. It is also quite obvious that the 1969 Gliese Catalog of Stars listed them as binary, and NOT single stars. This is the start of Fish’s controversial Zeta Reticuli theory. The problem arises when blind faith accepts the assumptions and judgment of a novice’s unsound and not well-founded ploy of legitimizing the alteration of the star map. Her credence was blinded by the euphoria of the alleged discovery of the home world of the alien beings who had abducted Betty and Barney Hill. Fish's rules for inclusion made the statement
saying: "Single stars are much more likely to have planets with life, and possibly ONLY single stars have planets. The pattern, like Betty's, is made up only of single stars." Stanton Friedman calls Fish an experimentalist. Experiments are the step in the scientific method that arbitrates between competing models or hypotheses. Experimentation is also used to test existing theories or new hypotheses in order to support them or disprove them. It is important that one knows all factors in an experiment. It is also important that the results are as accurate as possible. If an experiment is carefully conducted, the results usually either support or disprove the hypothesis. The two nickel-sized stars are the backbone of the star map, and Fish has essentially reduced the spatial distance between them. Then her bold transgression merged them into a single unit going off in the wrong direction to Sol. She should have stopped immediately when the angle to Sol was so far off. On Betty Hill's star map, the Hub star is directly to the right of the triangle. In Fish's ZR theory she has relocated them to the bottom on the far right. They are not base stars. The base star concept is based upon her manipulation and alteration of spatial distance between the two nickel sized stars. Nevertheless, it's an interesting move on paper! As a lay scientist Fish had employed some very risky moves, and this is certainly the most questionable. Her teammate Terence Dickinson once said that "Stars cannot be moved around to optimize the desired resemblance." Unfortunately that advice didn't apply to her formulation of the Zeta Reticuli Interpretation. Now it's time

to move on…. The star map has two very large stars. Star (A) for Alien, and (B) for Betty. Betty has asked the alien, Hey where do you come from? And as a quick retort, he then asks Betty to identify where Sol was at. To make a long story short, she didn't know. She had a 50/50 chance of guessing correctly, but she didn't offer any answer to the challenge. The answer is that Sol our sun is the lower and obviously B. Their star (A) the upper nickel-sized star with traffic and trade lines going off to multiple worlds is obviously their home star. When you look at the heavy banding between them, it's very clear that this is a major trade route; and Sol is the primary destination. The layout of the star map is very precise, and every position identified interlocks with one another, proving that the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis is for real. The center of the star map is in the constellation Ursa Major. We are in orbit around the lower of the two large nickel sized stars, and we here on Earth see the rest of the star map positions in the Northern Hemisphere. They can't be seen from the Southern Hemisphere. The Hill-Wilson star map is plotted out to their respective Right Ascension and Declination coordinates. The star map that Betty Hill was shown was threedimensional and the heavy banding between the two large nickel sized stars represents the dimension of depth. In the star map there are six trade and six exploration positions, and it's quite plausible to consider the notion that several of the known alien species, such as the Praying Mantis and Reptilian beings that have been seen and participated in the numerous night time abduction cases with the Greys, might actually come from some of the trade destination stars shown in the star map. This is definitely unexplored territory and a topic of great interest to talk about down the road. The burning questions on everyone's mind on this subject will have to wait. On Friday May 30th, 2010 legendary planet hunter Geoff Marcy, a leading Astronomer at Berkeley University, and SETI scientist Dan Werthimer, program director at Berkeley, conducted a public debate about the existence of technological life in the universe. In this alleged great debate, Werthimer postulated that when we finally make contact with an alien civilization, that they will be at least a million years in advance of our own civilization. Their star is estimated to be 6.5 billion years old, two billion years older than we are, and the likelihood that they could be much older is a firm possibility. Just how old might be discovered, if we
13
listen to what they are telling us in another anecdotal story. London, England 1976: A man reported that two short gray-skinned beings had appeared in his bedroom one night and they had somehow transported him through the roof and into a hovering object. He was put on a table where a large gray eye-like probe apparently examined him. He was also shown a number of images and was told by the aliens: "A thousand of your years are but one day to us." We know that they're an ancient civilization, so based on this revelation I extrapolated an estimate. The math to calculate just how old their civilization might actually be is as follows: (1000 yrs x 365) (one year) = 365,000 yrs x 100 years - (human life span) = 36,500,000. So the age of their civilization could theoretically range up to 36 Million years, long enough to figure out how to warp space-time and travel faster than light. Now, let's get to the exciting part by identifying the real location of where the "Greys" home world is. Based upon the information that the Being had given to Erik Wilson, I'm now identifying their home world as 20 Leo Minor, a 6.5 billion year old spectral type G3 star 48.6 light years away from us. The Harvard Revised identifier number for this star is HR3951. Their star is a metal rich star, and it has all of the scientific requirements to host a habitable planet according to Maggie Turnbill, one of the world's leading astrophysicists. In a study that she did in 2003 called the Sun Life List, she selected a group of stars that had all the criteria to host a habitable planet, screened so tight that she said they would "satisfy the harshest critic in their ability to host a habitable planet." Per Erik Wilson's conversation, the beings come from the fourth planet of this system. The orbit of their planet would put them at approximately 115 Million miles from their sun. There is a distinct possibility that the third planet might be habitable. It's a fluid situation as new information has came in indicating that the Eta-Earth Survey (October/2011) has
found a planet around this star (1.08 mass of Earth), and I'm anxiously waiting to hear the technical information about the orbit of this planet. Finding a second Earth is the Holy Grail in the scientific community, and saying ‘we told you so’ is on the tip of my tongue… My book 'Set Your Phaser to Stun' was released on September 19th, 2011 to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Betty and Barney Hill case. It is currently available on the Kindle reader and published in book form by Xlibris. The UFO books written today tend to tell anecdotal stories; interesting tales that lack critical scientific information that could help establish better support for the UFO community. I have never seen a UFO and was very much aware of
Steve Pearse served four years in the military with the United States Army Security Agency 77th SOU (Clark Air Base) with a top secret teletype crypto clearance. He is now a lay scientist, e-book author, and a retired business professional with over 25 years in the field of credit management and account reconciliation of State, Federal, and Mass Merchandiser accounts. As a lay scientist, Steve uses his strong analytical and research skills in studying the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis, specifically the question humanity has been asking for thousands of years: Are we alone in the Universe? In the year 2000, Steve Pearse came to the conclusion that many so called anecdotal accounts involving UFOs — which were so often dismissed in the media as unreliable testimony — were actually true. A turning point came when Steve stumbled across shocking new information relating to Betty Hill’s Star Map, which in turn led him on an exhaustive eight year investigation into the Extraterrestrial Hypothesis. The culmination of Steve Pearse’s research resulted in his new book, Set Your Phaser to Stun. There is little doubt that his discovery will be a stunning revelation to everyone who reads this important book.

the fact that very few writers have provided any solid scientific or technical content in the books that they have written, so for me this was a unique opportunity to build a bridge to the scientific community by writing a very sound rebuttal to the continued insistance that the study of UFO phenomenon has nothing to contribute to society. Their mindset has been stridently negative and we have been in the dark ages for far too long, and its time to open the door to this brave new world. I did what the scientific community has refused to do, and that was to simply listen to their point of view, and be willing to devote my time and energy to intensely researching this new evidence. This anecdotal information, which is so often discredited, was sufficient enough to warrant further investigation. The information provided in this book is very powerful and scientifically straight forward. This book in my opinion is going to rock the naysayers because it cannot be ignored or brushed aside by the scientific community. Further information about this shocking revelation is now available. The information in this article is only a fraction of the content of the book. This is a major breakthrough that hopefully will be the catalyst to force disclosure.Welcome to a brave new world.

UFO Crash in Dalnegorsk, Russia, disclosed in new book:
RUSSIA’S ROSWELL INCIDENT Although the leaders of the former Soviet Union did not allow citizens to speak freely about UFOs, a new book finally reveals major UFO cases that have surfaced since the USSR fell, including the reported 1986 crash of a UFO in Dalnegorsk, Russia. Witnesses say something not of this world crash-landed on a hilltop in the small Russian village of Dalnegorsk in 1986, according to the new book Russia’s Roswell Incident and Other Amazing UFO Cases from the Former Soviet Union by former Soviet refugee Paul Stonehill and British UFO expert Philip Mantle. Metal fragments recovered at the site of the Dalnegorsk crash continue to puzzle scientists today. When subjected to heat, some of the elements “disappear” and are replaced by others. Some fragments display antigravitational properties. Early in 2012, media headlines throughout the United States announced, “Russian Roswell UFO Artifact Featured at National Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas.” For most Americans, it was their first exposure to one of the world’s most intriguing UFO stories since the reported crash of a UFO near Roswell, New Mexico, in July 1947. The mysterious 1986 crash-landing of a spherical flying object on a hill in the town of Dalnegorsk in Southeastern Russia was finally getting the attention it has long deserved. The case is notable because of its extremely strange trace evidence, which continues to intrigue researchers today. It is also noteworthy because of recently released Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) documents, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which indicate that the U.S. intelligence community apparently took a great interest in the Dalnegorsk UFO crash. Stonehill said,“Unidentified objects have been seen both on land and in the sea throughout Russia’s history. In addition to an in-depth analysis of two reported UFO crashes, each of which has been called ‘Russia’s Roswell Incident,’ this book also gives an overview of the most important cases, observations, and sightings in the lands formerly known as the Soviet Union.” “Russia is a huge country. Many of its areas, especially in Siberia, Far Eastern provinces and the Arctic regions, have not been completely explored even today,” Stonehill added.

“During the last one hundred years Russia has gone through bloody revolutions, wars, transformations of its economy, purges, famine, invasions, and other lifeshattering events. Millions of Russians perished in concentration camps created by Soviet Marxist Leninists and German National Socialists. Hundreds of thousands, if not millions, died from famine and starvation. Others were exiled, banished, maimed, their lives torn apart by terrible events of the 20th century. And yet, even in the darkest of times, there were those in the USSR who had observed strange and perplexing unidentified flying or submersible objects and found ways to preserve their observations. Such anomalous phenomena had never escaped the attention of the Soviet rulers and the nation’s armed forces.” Since UFOs were a forbidden subject for citizens of the Soviet Union, this book mostly contains UFO reports by scientists, pilots, military personnel, cosmonauts, and other Soviet “officials” with a high enough standing to risk telling their stories. The UFO sightings in this book are mostly from sources generally considered to be“highly reliable,” including many highly-trained observers such as astronomers, cosmonauts, and aircraft pilots. Among the incredible stories told in the book is that of a close encounter at a major Russian missile base in 1994. The authors report that a UFO measuring about 75 feet in diameter made a soft landing on three landing support legs in front of the main building at the base that is a key part of Russia’s air defense system. The report states that “something” resembling a flying saucer landed in the plaza in front of the main building. Five minutes later all soldiers not on combat duty formed a perimeter around the UFO, their machine guns at the ready. Observing the object from a distance of 300-500 feet, the soldiers said it was a classic “saucer” – a silver disk with a dome on the top, three semi-spheres on the bottom, and three landing supports. The object’s diameter was about 75 feet, and the dome’s diameter was about 20 feet. The three semi-spheres on the bottom were about 15 feet in diameter. The object’s silver color was accentuated by a slight hint of blue, and it gleamed very brightly in the sunlight of mid afternoon. Within 10 minutes of the landing, the military unit’s watch officer reported the UFO to superiors. The soldiers were
ordered not to approach the UFO and to cease all activities that might be viewed as aggressive and might initiate a retaliatory response from the object. The orders also instructed the base to get ready to receive an airplane containing a “mobile laboratory” of government UFO researchers. The plane carrying 15 military research specialists arrived about three hours later. After filming the object on their approach to the site, the researchers split up into three groups. Dressed in shiny, hermetically-sealed, biohazard suits, and waving various instruments, the rapid response team approached the UFO. When they got within about 20 feet, the object, or the surrounding air, suddenly “rippled” as if struck by some type of distortion wave. A strange sizzling noise was heard, and the soil shook underneath the observers’ feet. Then the UFO began a slow ascent, and as it lifted off, it “pulled” the asphalt-covered surface of the plaza towards it. That “pull” extended from the edges to the center of the plaza. COMPUTER WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER ALIEN INV ASIONS INVASIONS http://blastr.com/2012/02/computercompanys-warrant.php
If you're worried an alien invasion could inadvertently fry your PC's motherboard, I would not recommend picking up an Acer at your local Best Buy. There is a very interesting tidbit buried deep in Acer's warranty stipulations: Space invasions are not covered. Sorry, resistance fighters. If your laptop is clipped by a stray laser blast during humanity's last stand, you're on your own. Under the warranty extension program chapter, it's noted the plan does not cover "damage caused by natural disaster, intentional or unintentional misuse, acts of war, space invasions, abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, or use under abnormal conditions." So, galactic conquest falls somewhere between misuse and neglect. Good to know. MISSING CAT HUNTER FINDS BURIED SPECECRAFT http://austriantimes.at/news/General_News/2012-03-11/ 40098/Missing_Cat_Hunter_Finds_Buried_Spececraft
Hundreds of people are flocking to a field at Neuhofen im Innkreis in Austria after a mysterious perfectly round hole appeared overnight, leading down to a metallic construction 25-foot underground. Farmer Franz Knoglinger, 47, discovered the hole while looking for his missing cat and after a report on local television he was flooded with curious visitors, as well as geologists, archaeologists and even UFO experts. He said: "I was looking for our family cat Murlimann when I noticed the hole. I didn't know how deep it was then so I dropped the stone down there, and heard a metallic clunk. From the time it took for the stone to reach the bottom I realised it was very
deep. I managed to get a big magnet which I dangled down there and it clearly fastened onto something at the bottom - so there is something large and metallic about down there. It also sounds as if there is a hollow space around about whatever the metal object is - it sounds as if there is a room underneath." He said they needed 25 foot of rope to lower the magnet down and the local plumber who had tried to use a special camera to view the object had failed to get an image. He said: "There seem to be disturbance on the line - maybe it was some sort of electrical field. Either way the camera didn't bring a good result." In the meantime the family cat has appeared again, she had been sleeping in an airing cupboard at the family farm and the door had been closed - shutting her in. NASA'S ALIEN CONT ACT SCENARIO CONTACT http://www.dailygalaxy.com/my_weblog/2012/04/ from-the-x-files-dept-nasas-alien-contact-scenario.html
Extraterrestrial beings monitoring Earth might view changes in our atmosphere as symptomatic of a self-destructing civilization and take drastic action to keep us from becoming a more serious threat, according to a highly speculative scenario developed last year by scientists at NASA and Penn State University. Shawn Domagal-Goldman of NASA's Planetary Science Division and his colleagues developed scenarios that could
unfold in the aftermath of a close encounter, to help humanity "prepare for actual contact". Their report, 'Would Contact with Extraterrestrials Benefit or Harm Humanity? A Scenario Analysis,' divides alien contacts into three broad categories: beneficial, neutral or harmful. Beneficial encounters ranged from the mere detection of extraterrestrial intelligence (ETI), for example through the interception of alien broadcasts, to contact with cooperative organisms that help us advance our knowledge and solve global problems such as hunger, poverty and disease. Another beneficial outcome the authors entertain sees humanity triumph over a more powerful alien aggressor, or even being saved by a second group of ETs. "In these scenarios, humanity benefits not only from the major moral victory of having defeated a daunting rival, but also from the opportunity to reverse-engineer ETI technology," the authors write. Other kinds of close encounter may be less rewarding and leave much of human society feeling indifferent towards alien life. The extraterrestrials may be too different from us to communicate with usefully. They might invite humanity to join the "Galactic Club" only for the entry requirements to be too bureaucratic and tedious for humans to bother with. The most unappealing outcomes would arise if extraterrestrials caused harm to humanity, even if by accident. While aliens

may arrive to eat, enslave or attack us, the report adds that people might also suffer from being physically crushed or by contracting diseases carried by the visitors. In especially unfortunate incidents, humanity could be wiped out when a more advanced civilisation accidentally unleashes an unfriendly artificial intelligence, or performs a catastrophic physics experiment that renders a portion of the galaxy uninhabitable. To bolster humanity's chances of survival, the researchers call for caution in sending signals into space, and in particular warn against broadcasting information about our biological make-up, which could be used to manufacture weapons that target humans. Instead, any contact with ETs should be limited to mathematical discourse "until we have a better idea of the type of ETI we are dealing with." UFO COVERUP ON SHUTTLE MISSION? April 09, 2012
Official video from the last shuttle mission has been reviewed and analyzed. Did NASA coverup evidence of a UFO? A segment from NASA's live, public feed shows an angle of the Atlantis cargo bay and boom being opened and serviced. The ground controller on the last shuttle flight is describing the action to the audience, and it's all pretty dry stuff. Until about the 4:30 mark. Suddenly the camera pans upward and

three orbs appear, flying in the increasingly familiar triangle formation. As the image plays out, it seems the narrator and other commenters are trying very hard to persuade anyone watching that what they are seeing are random reflections of light off a piece of tin foil. Really? The objects dance away from each other and don't seem to be caused by a reflection from the lens. They act independently, yet always maintain equidistant juxtaposition from each other. The objects may not be of the unidentified flying object kind, but it seems strange the NASA people would want to kill the prospects of any UFO rumors cropping up. BILLIONAIRES ALL OWED TO BUY ALLOWED UP PLANETS http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article2125714/Legal-loophole-let-billionaires-BUYplanets-human-settlers-arrive-snap-Moon.html
Private companies should be able to buy land on The Moon or other planets for tourism, mining or even to sell property, a space policy expert has said. Rand Simberg said that if governments started to provide property rights then entrepreneurs and billionaires might pile in and invest - and added that the 'time is ripe'. He has proposed a law that would circumvent the 1967 Outer Space Treaty, which states no individual or government can have sovereignty over any body in space. But such a move would mark a huge change in how mankind sees space and could open up the galaxy to a debacle akin to the Colonial era 'Scramble for Africa'. One government going alone might also incur the wrath of other nations who all remain signed up to the Outer Space Treaty. Mr Simberg, who is based in the US, says that the law is open to challenge and does not explicitly forbid anybody from owning chunks of planets, so needs clearing up anyway. Any new law would have to work around the 1979 Moon Treaty Act which stops any nation from claiming sovereignty over The Moon, though major countries like the US and Russia have not ratified it. US space law lawyer Michael Listner told Wired.com that ownership of The Moon and other planets was a 'very touchy issue'.
'To take that stand against the rest of the world, would take a lot of political will and the government would take a hit. It's sort of a nonstarter,' he said. 'It's similar to the way properties were pioneered in the Old West. The government opened up land and people went to settle it.' The debate over ownership of space mirrors that on Earth - Britain recently provoked the ire of Argentina when it emerged that five UK companies are hunting for oil in the waters surrounding The Falkland Islands. The Arctic is also emerging as a key battleground with Denmark, which owns Greenland, insisting it has the right to explore waters off its shores. GIANT 'UFO FRAGMENT' F ALLS FALLS FROM THE SK Y IN SKY SIBERIA http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/newstopics/ howaboutthat/ufo/9159519/Giant-UFOfragment-falls-from-the-sky-in-Siberia.html
A U-shaped object, resembling a silvery dome, is currently under inspection by Russian experts, after being covertly removed under cover of night from the possession of villagers who found it. After discovering the device on Sunday, locals from the village of Otradnesnky had managed to drag the "UFO fragment" from the thick forest where it had fallen. They attached it onto a trailer and took it through the snow to their village, where local inspectors then examined it before alerting Moscow authorities. But following their stealthy removal of the 200-kilogram metal fragment, police have it under close guard, on orders from unnamed authorities. The device has not had its provenance confirmed as of yet. However, the object does not come from a rocket or missile or be in any way associated with terrestrial space technology, it has been announced. "The object found is not related to space technology. A final conclusion can be made after a detailed study of the object by experts," said Roscosmos, the Russian space agency. Experts have also examined the object to determine whether it poses a hazard. "We measured the radiation level near and inside the object. We found no radiation here," said Yuri Bornyakov, who heads the

rescue service department of the Kuybyshevsky district in the Novosibirsk region. Part of the fragment is made of ultra-strong titanium, said Valery Vasiliev, the head of the Kuybyshevsky Department for Civil Defence and Emergency Situations. Speculation that it had come from a bungled Kazakhstan rocket or satellite launch was also denied. "You can see inside it, all is open, it's empty, no danger here. We were asked to take and store it. We brought it here. And now we are going to wait until they come to take it if they need it," said local police spokesman Sergei Sulein. 50-KIL OGRAM 50-KILOGRAM AL SPHERE METAL MET FALLS FROM THE SK Y OVER SKY BRAZILIAN TOWN An unlucky cashew tree was blasted in half when a 50-kilogram metal ball dropped from the sky over the Brazilian village of Riacho dos Poços. The ball [below] left a crater one-meter deep after landing near Valdir José Mendes' house. Mendes, who was home at the time and initially mistook the din for a plane crash or earthquake. The Brazilian ball has since been collected by Brazilian military police. This space junk likely belonged to a satellite as well - unless the mysterious liquid Riacho dos Poços residents heard slushing around inside is of a much more sinister, extraterrestrial origin.

RUSSIAN ROSWELL UFO DEBRIS IS PART OF AREA 51 EXHIBIT http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/03/ 22/area-51-russian-roswellufo_n_1373352.html?ref=weird-news
When the Area 51 exhibit officially opens today at the National Atomic Testing Museum in Las Vegas, visitors will see something that may startle them: a display titled "Authentic Alien Artifact." "Area 51: Myth or Reality" presents the historical records of what's been considered the most secret place in America. Spy planes, like the U2 and A-12, were routinely tested at this abandoned bombing range 80 miles north of Las Vegas during the 1950s and 60s. Models of these and other stealth aircraft are now on display at the museum. The exhibit also scrutinizes ongoing speculation that the military was testing captured alien spacecraft at Area 51 and examining the remains of extraterrestrials that had reportedly crashed outside of Roswell N.M., in 1947. The Area 51 presentation isn't limited to examining American UFO sites. Under a clear display cover -- where the "Authentic Alien Artifact" sign is housed -- are a variety of objects, including vials containing small pieces of material. These come from an alleged UFO crash in Russia. The use of the word "authentic" is a pretty bold assertion, considering the exhibit -- the first of its kind in a national museum -- is in a museum associated with the Smithsonian Institution. These so-called alien artifacts come from an incident known as the Russian Roswell. On Jan. 29, 1986, an unusual-looking reddish sphere streaked across the sky over the Soviet Union mining town of Dalnegorsk and crashed into Mount Izvestkovaya, also referred to as Height 611. "Valeri Dvuzhilini of the Academy of Sciences was first to arrive on the scene two days later. He collected samples of strange metallic mesh scattered at the site, and samples of rocks and vegetation which had been scorched in the crash," said Las Vegas KLAS-TV news reporter George Knapp. "Samples were later analyzed by several
Russian scientific institutes. In the days after the crash, hundreds of witnesses saw other UFO-type craft flying in and around Height 611, as if searching for the crash site," Knapp told The Huffington Post. Through his efforts and contacts between the United States and Russia, Knapp -- the recipient of more than a dozen Emmy Awards -- was the first American journalist to travel to the UFO crash site in the 1990s. Knapp was given samples of the debris, including very small perfectly round and glassy spheres, which had also been found at other crash sites. Those materials are being unveiled by the National Atomic Testing Museum. According to the exhibit's description, scientific tests on the UFO materials revealed bizarre behaviour: "Three Soviet academic centres and 11 research institutes analyzed the objects from this UFO crash. The distance between atoms is different from ordinary iron. Radar cannot be reflected from the material. Elements in the material may disappear and new ones appear after heating. One piece disappeared completely in front of four witnesses. The core of the material is composed of a substance with antigravitational properties." "I don't think the Russian scientists ever said it was out-of-this-world, but it had unusual properties. Some of the stuff went to academies and it never came back," Knapp added. With the opening of the Area 51 exhibit - which reveals the secret work that went on there in the development of military stealth technology -- is there also the implication or suggestion that the government is ready to acknowledge that some UFOs may have a truly out-of-thisworld origin? The overall Smithsonian mission includes "shaping the future by preserving our heritage, discovering new knowledge, and sharing our resources with the world." Now it appears that statement includes possible debris from a crashed UFO. Maybe this Area 51 "authentic alien artifact" display is another step forward on the road to ET disclosure.
