PLACING ORDERS
Andoras Ltd encourages all customers to use the order forms contained within this product guide when ordering product. These order forms are designed to make the process easier for you and the processing of the order easier for our staff. When placing orders for special products it is imperative that you attach a detailed specification or drawing.
Andoras Ltd will always try to maintain their lead times, however, capacity will ultimately determine the time taken to dispatch orders. In times of increased capacity those customers who have used the Novelle order form will take priority over those who have not. Order forms are there to be used to increase efficiency in production planning.
Please note: credit-stopped orders will affect acknowledged delivery dates.
DELIVERY ARRANGEMENTS
Goods are despatched to the UK mainland Monday to Friday. Please contact Customer Services for further information. Delivery schedules may alter during holiday periods and customers will be notified in advance.
All consolidated orders below the value of £450/€500 will incur a carriage charge which will be estimated on the order acknowledgement.
Andoras Ltd strongly recommends using their standard delivery service for all goods.
All goods must be inspected thoroughly upon delivery. Andoras Ltd will not be liable for damages which haven’t been notified in
writing within 3 working days of receipt. Please note, any goods signed for as ‘Received in good condition’, and later found to be damaged, will not be accepted for return by Andoras Ltd.
Paint can normally only be shipped as part of a palletised order. Alternatively, it can be despatched individually using a special delivery service at a carriage cost of £30/€35 Andoras Ltd will not be held responsible for delivery of damaged goods by an external delivery company.
EXPRESS DELIVERY SERVICE
You can choose to use an uninsured express delivery service which allows a parcel/bundle to be delivered the next day (approx 3 doors per parcel), but we recommend using this service only when there is absolutely no alternative available. Each parcel costs £30/€35 carriage. Next day ‘am’ and Saturday deliveries are available at an additional cost.
ACCOUNT TERMS
After an initial 3 month pro-forma trading period, credit accounts may be considered for regular buying customers after receipt of a completed application form and when references have been validated. We will issue a letter stating the limits and terms granted as quickly as possible.
It should be noted that the date of invoice is the effective date for calculating credit facilities.
product lead times and specials availability
LEAD TIMES
Lead times are approximately 10 weeks for standard painted products. Off standard products and additional fittings such as hinges may incur an extra week. These lead times may vary at times according to capacity demand but we will advise accordingly.
Andoras Ltd operates a ‘fast track’ production facility to make one-off add-on/replacement doors. Despatch from Andoras Ltd is generally 10 working days from receipt for sanded finish only, or 15 working days for finished product. These lead times may vary at times according to capacity demand but we will advise accordingly. Please allow up to 2 working days for delivery.
Acknowledged delivery dates are based on our best estimate and Andoras Ltd will not be held liable for any losses (financial or otherwise) if product is not delivered on the exact date specified by the acknowledgement.
SPECIAL SIZES
Bespoke sizes are priced based on the next size up in the price list. For example: A Charlotte White Oak 770 x 487 special sized door will be based on the price of a 770 x 500 door. Items that do not fall into this category will be priced upon request.
HOW TO ORDER
1 No orders will be accepted verbally.
2 To ensure that your order is manufactured correctly please complete an order form and send via email.
3 An acknowledgement will be sent to you within 4 working days after receipt of your order to confirm that all technical details are correct and pricing approved.
4 The acknowledgement must be checked and any discrepancies highlighted within one working day of receipt of the acknowledgement.
order acknowledgements, changes and cancellations
The majority of our products are made to order. In order for us to ensure that we are manufacturing our product to your requirements, it is vitally important that you check your order acknowledgement as soon as you receive it and let us know of any discrepancies within one working day Any cancellations or changes must also be notified to us in writing within one working day of receipt of the acknowledgement; otherwise these items will be in production and will be chargeable. Andoras Ltd will not be liable for any errors made based on verbal instructions. If you make changes to an order after the acknowledgement has been sent, it may affect the original lead time quoted.
Where off standard product requires your approval, we cannot acknowledge or start production until we have received your verification of drawings or specifications. Similarly where we have raised queries, we cannot acknowledge or proceed with an order until these have been resolved. Therefore any delays in answering queries may affect the timing of delivery.
Acknowledged delivery dates are based on our best estimate and Andoras Ltd will not be held liable for any losses (financial or otherwise) if product is not delivered on the exact date specified by the acknowledgement.
painted & lacquered ranges
Andoras Ltd offers a selection of paints for all our door styles. Stains are available by special request. Note that all painted finishes are 10% sheen. Lacquered finish is normally 20% sheen although this can be varied on request. Painted and lacquered (natural finish) doors are manufactured using high quality hardwoods to which a superior quality paint or stain is then applied. All of our high quality hardwoods are kiln dried to a moisture content of 8-12%. However, timber, by nature, is susceptible to expansion and shrinkage depending on the environment in which it is installed. This means it could expand when there is an abundance of moisture in the air, particularly in winter or when excess moisture is prevalent in renovated or new builds. Contraction may occur in the summer months when the climate is drier. This potential natural movement of the timber can cause any layer of paint, lacquer, varnish etc that has been applied, to move with it and may result in panel shrinkage and hairline cracks along the joints of the door.
This is considered to be a positive feature, adding an authentic look and feel to the kitchen of any customer who appreciates the fine, natural qualities of timber. This must be explained to the customer upon sale of the product.
You will notice that all our painted doors are constructed with a decorative groove in the door joint. This is to eliminate the chances of noticeable hairline cracks in the joints caused by natural timber movement or excessive temperature changes.
Please note: In the event of hairline cracks appearing on the joints of painted non v-groove doors, Andoras Ltd will not be held liable.
HOW TO ORDER
1 Any order for painted/lacquered product must be sent via email.
2 An acknowledgement will be sent to you within 4 working days after receipt of your order to confirm that all technical details are correct and pricing approved.
3 The acknowledgement must be checked and any discrepancies highlighted within one working day of receipt of the acknowledgement.
4 Due to its bespoke nature, painted/lacquered product orders cannot be changed or cancelled once the order has been placed. Any additions will be treated as a new order.
5 No part painted orders will be despatched. Only full and complete orders will be despatched at any given time.
6 Although Andoras Ltd always tries to maintain a consistent colour match in batches of painted/lacquered product, there may be a slight colour variation between batches. An exact colour match cannot be guaranteed.
7 Due to the fact that painted product is crafted from solid timbera living product - it may be susceptible to cracking along the joints from natural movement, caused by changes in humidity. Touch-up paints are sold separately.
8 The painted/stained colour swatches that are printed in our marketing material are as closely matched as the printing process will allow. For more accurate matching, please request one of our actual painted timber swatches. Painted colours, however, will always vary slightly.

colour matching service
Andoras Ltd offers a paint colour matching service for customers who request a paint colour match from either a RAL (European Standard) or BS (British Standard) paint swatch.
Please note: a special paint colour order will incur a longer lead-time than Andoras Ltd standard colours – this is due to the fact that paint must be sourced and a physical sample must be signed off by the customer before production begins. A surcharge will be applied according to order value to a maximum of 10% to any order that requires a paint match to a supplied reference. When placing an order for a special paint colour, not in the Andoras colour palette, the following procedure must apply:
1 A RAL or BS number and/or colour sample must be supplied to Andoras Ltd for accurate matching;
2 Andoras Ltd will source paint and provide a sample which will be available approximately 1 week (plus next delivery day) after the initial information has been provided. Andoras Ltd will also retain a copy of the sample for reference;
3 Andoras Ltd to receive written confirmation that the production sample is approved before production begins; and
4 Paint will then be ordered and production planned subject to normal lead times, after the delivery of paint to Andoras Ltd.
5 Any order for painted product must be sent via fax or email. An order acknowledgement will be sent to the customer upon receipt of any order.
6 Due to its bespoke nature, painted product orders cannot be changed or cancelled once the order has been placed. Any additions will be treated as a new order.
7 No part painted orders will be despatched. Only full and complete orders will be despatched at any given time.
8 Although Andoras Ltd always tries to maintain a consistent colour match in batches of painted product, there may be a slight colour variation between batches. An exact colour match cannot be guaranteed.
9 Due to the fact that painted product is crafted from solid timbera living product - it may be susceptible to cracking along the joints from natural movement, caused by changes in humidity.
Special colour paints can only be purchased by Andoras Ltd in a minimum of 5 litres. Where a sample is prepared but the order does not proceed, there will be a charge for the unused 5 litres of paint.
Important: The lead time for delivery of a colour sample is 1 to 2 weeks, depending on the availability of the paint. Once this sample is approved, the standard lead time applies. So, in theory, for all special finishes a maximum of up to 6 weeks may be required (lead times may be affected during holiday periods, Customer Services will advise upon ordering of any discrepancies).
ORDERS CANNOT COMMENCE MANUFACTURE UNTIL ALL PAINT COLOURS ARE CONFIRMED.
TIMBER RANGES
As with all Andoras Ltd products you can be sure that our timber ranges meet the highest standards expected by both our retailers and their customers. Add to that the versatility presented by our product range, as well as the affordable price tag and you have a recipe for success, no matter what way you look at it.
Our timber is sourced from the finest suppliers all over the world and due to our sophisticated design and superior workmanship your furniture will not only look beautiful but can also be expected to remain looking that way throughout its lifetime. Offered in a large number of styles and finishes, our timber ranges can be relied on to please even the most discerning customer.
SOURCING
In the production and sourcing of solid wood and veneered products, great care is exercised in the selection and quality of suitable materials. Every effort has been made to source FSC certified products.
GRAIN
As solid timber is a natural living product, it is not possible nor desirable to strive for total uniformity of shading and grain pattern. Our aim is, at all times, to operate within controlled parameters that recognise variations as both acceptable and aesthetically pleasing. Before installation, it is advisable that you place your frontals in a suitable arrangement in order to achieve a consistent look.
CURVED MOULDINGS
Curved mouldings are only crafted from solid timber. The nature of this process, coupled with the curved shape, will result in a proportion of end grain showing. This curved section will always be comparatively darker in colour than straight sections (just as the top of a door where rail meets stile shows end grain that is always darker in colour).
LIGHT AFFECTING COLOUR
Wood changes colour when exposed to light. Species of the timber and the intensity of exposure will affect the rate of change. Due to this we recommend that timber samples be changed regularly. It is advised that colour change is taken into consideration when replacing or fitting new doors some time after the original kitchen has been installed.
MOISTURE
Timber is hygroscopic meaning it absorbs and releases water depending on its surrounding environment. Due to this being out of our control, we recommend all timbers are stored and installed in areas that have been properly acclimatised over a period of time.
APPLICATION OF QUADRANT DOORS
When quadrant doors are aligned with a straight door onto a wall carcase, they require a selection of accessories to accompany them in order to achieve a consistent, seamless application – see Technical Application Guide.
GLASS SUPPLIED
The glass supplied as standard is 4mm plain toughened glass. Curved glass is supplied as laminated safety glass at 7.5mm thick.
kitchen door care & maintenance
PRE-INSTALLATION RECOMMENDATIONS
Ensure that all new builds or newly plastered rooms have been left to environmentally stabilise prior to the installation of new kitchen doors. Kitchen doors must not be installed into a damp, or moisture-rich environment as it will cause undesirable movement in the joints and panels of the door.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
General cleaning advice for all door types:
• do not use wax furniture polish, abrasive or aggressive cleaners, bleach or other hypochlorate (chlorine) based cleaners, multipurpose cleaners, dilutes, acetone, alcohol, solvent or similar products on the door, as this will damage the surface;
• only use a 5% soap, 95% water (liquid soap) solution, wiping with a damp (not wet) cloth, finally drying with a soft, clean cloth only;
• ensure all cooking splashes are wiped immediately with a damp cloth; and
• dust with a soft cloth only.
TIMBER & VENEERED DOORS
cleaning: when cleaning timber doors you must follow the pattern of the grain. It is advisable to use a damp (not wet) cloth to remove fingerprints and marks, followed at once with a clean and dry soft cloth.
moisture: excess moisture can damage a timber product - it is recommended that susceptible areas such as around the sink are thoroughly maintained and kept dry at all times.
light: timber changes colour when exposed to light. The species of timber and intensity of exposure will affect the rate of change. Due to this we recommend that timber samples be changed regularly.
It is advised that colour change is taken into consideration when replacing or fitting new doors some time after the original kitchen has been installed.
PAINTED DOORS
cleaning: it is advisable to use a damp (not wet) cloth to remove fingerprints and marks, followed at once with a clean and dry soft cloth. light: painted finishes will change colour when exposed to lightthe intensity of exposure will affect the rate of change. Due to this, we recommend that painted swatches and door samples be changed regularly. We also advise that colour change is taken into consideration when replacing or fitting new doors some time after the original kitchen has been installed.
LACQUERED (NATURAL FINISH) DOORS
cleaning: it is advisable to use a damp (not wet) cloth to remove fingerprints and marks, followed at once with a clean and dry soft cloth. light: lacquered finishes will change colour when exposed to lightthe intensity of exposure will affect the rate of change. Due to this, we recommend that swatches and door samples be changed regularly.
We also advise that colour change is taken into consideration when replacing or fitting new doors some time after the original kitchen has been installed.
SANDED (RAW) DOORS
cleaning: sanded products are unfinished and therefore the care of these doors will depend on the type of finish applied, eg paint, stain, wax etc., see above for care guidance.

In these conditions, unless the context requires otherwise:
1.1 ‘Buyer’ means the person who buys or agrees to buy the Goods from the Seller and who shall not be a consumer;
1.2 ‘Conditions’ means the terms and conditions of sale set out in this document and any special terms and conditions agreed in writing by the Seller;
1.3 ‘Delivery Date’ means the date specified by the Seller when the goods are to be delivered;

2.1 The Conditions shall apply to all contracts for the sale of Goods by the Seller to the Buyer to the exclusion of all other terms and conditions including any terms or conditions which the Buyer may purport to apply under any sales offer, purchase order or similar document or in correspondence.
The Conditions constitute the entire understanding between the Seller and the Buyer with respect to the subject matter covered by the contract of sale and supersede all previous agreements and understandings between the parties.
2.2 All orders for Goods shall be deemed to be an offer by the Buyer to purchase the Goods therein mentioned for the Price pursuant to these Conditions. In the event that any of the Goods are unavailable, the order shall be deemed to be an order for only those Goods which are available and may be accepted by the Seller accordingly.
2.3 An order is accepted by the Seller upon the allocation of the Goods to the order such that they are ascertainable. For the avoidance of doubt, acceptance of delivery of the Goods shall be deemed conclusive evidence of the Buyer’s acceptance of these Conditions.
2.4 Any variation to these Conditions (including any special terms and conditions agreed between the parties) shall be inapplicable unless agreed in writing by the Seller.

3.2 The Price is exclusive of VAT which shall be due at the rate prevailing on the date of the Seller’s invoice.
3.3 The Price is ex works and where the Seller agrees to arrange for the Goods to be sent to the Buyer, the Buyer shall be responsible for the costs of loading, carriage and unloading.
3.4 The Seller may by giving notice to the Buyer at any time up to 7 days before delivery increase the Price of the Goods to reflect any increase in the cost to the Seller which is due to factors occurring after the making of the contract of sale which are beyond the reasonable control of the Seller (including, without limitation, foreign exchange fluctuations, taxes and duties and the cost of labour, materials and other manufacturing costs), provided that the Buyer may cancel this contract within
3.5 Payment of the Price, any charges for carriage and insurance and VAT shall be made in a manner acceptable to the Seller in cleared funds with order unless credit facilities have been agreed, in which case, payment shall be made on or before the last working day of the month following the end of the month in which the invoice is rendered. 4. THE GOODS
4.1 The Goods shall accord with the description contained in the Seller’s published price list.
4.2 The Seller may from time to time make the changes to the said
5.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
5.1 The intellectual property rights in the Goods shall as between the parties be the property of the Seller. Where any designs or specifications have been supplied by the Buyer for manufacture by the Seller or to the order of the Buyer, then the Buyer warrants that the use of those designs or specifications for the manufacture, processing, assembly or supply of the Goods shall not infringe the rights of any third party.
6. DELIVERY OF GOODS
6.1 The Goods shall be delivered to the Buyer either ex works or upon the Goods passing into the control of the Buyer or the Buyer’s agent, whichever may be the earlier. The risk in the Goods shall pass to the Buyer upon such delivery taking place. Time for delivery shall not be of the essence.
6.2 The Seller may deliver the Goods by separate instalments. The Seller may raise a separate invoice and require payment for each instalment.
6.3 The Seller shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatever due to failure by the Seller to deliver the Goods (or any of them) promptly or at all.
6.4 Notwithstanding that the Seller may have delayed or failed to deliver the Goods (or any of them) promptly the Buyer shall be bound to accept delivery and to pay for the Goods in full provided that delivery shall be tendered at any time within 3 months of the Delivery Date.
6.5 If so requested, the Seller shall arrange for carriage of the Goods to the Buyer’s address by means of an independent courier, which shall be the agent of the Buyer. The costs of carriage and insurance shall be charged to the Buyer in accordance with the schedule of rates negotiated by the Seller with the courier and then prevailing and shall be paid by the Buyer without any set-off or other withholding whatever.
