THE BECKETT TRILOGY Conor Lovett is widely considered to be the preeminent Beckett interpreter alive today, and nobody will question that reputation after experiencing this work. Adapting three novels Beckett penned simultaneously with the pivotal Waiting For Godot, the performance is absolutely riveting. He brings the words to life as if they were his own, delivering a veritable master class in selfdeprecation, dark humor, and defiant hopefulness.
MOBY DICK In Lovett’s interpretation of Moby Dick, you will taste the saltwater and you will feel Captain Ahab’s rage, fear, and maniacal fixation in your bones. Lovett distills the genius of Melville’s prose and presents it with deliberation, focus, humor, and constraint, leaving you feeling as if you have you have lived this tragic tale.

EDUCATION & OUTREACH
UF Performing Arts has long invested in education and outreach to bring the arts to local K-12 schools and UF classrooms
In addition to guest artist lectures and school visits, our Education and Outreach program provides University of Florida students with the exceptional and intimate experience of master classes, where our professional performers take their expertise off the stage for handson, practical instruction. For local K-12 students, we offer free school day performances, including transportation to and from each school, providing experiential learning opportunities that many schools lack the funding to support on their own.
A donation of $250 will support bringing one school bus to the Phillips Center. An entire school day performance is made possible with a gift of $5,000. For more information about our Education and Outreach initiatives please visit performingarts.ufl.edu/outreach.

EXPIRATION DATE Candy Simmons Lucille is a young woman struggling through the realities of a terminal diagnosis. EXPIRATION DATE, a onewoman play created and performed by frequent Fringe Festival performer Candy Simmons, investigates the attitudes and fears that come with death and dying in America.
FORGET ME NOT — THE ALZHEIMER’S WHODUNNIT Rob Gee Jim’s wife, a patient in a dementia ward, has died from what appears to be natural causes. Jim is a retired police detective and he smells a rat. He’s determined to solve one last murder. The problem is he also has dementia. It’s a case worthy of the greatest detective mind. But his will have to do.
Lucille’s journey offers an unsentimental, raw, irreverent, and darkly-comedic peek into one woman’s journey into the great unknown. “...a wry, moving, poignant, and funny experience. For a gifted actor such as Simmons, this is a showcase of strength and talent.” — Star Tribune THIS PERFORMANCE CONTAINS SENSITIVE SUBJECT MATTER.
Written and performed by comic, poet, and psychiatric nurse Rob Gee, FORGET ME NOT recently completed a sold out run across the U.S. and Canada. “Remarkable… a comedy, meditation on human dignity and at its heart, a love story… with his mix of humor and heart, Gee strikes storytelling gold.” — Orlando Sentinel THIS PERFORMANCE CONTAINS SENSITIVE SUBJECT MATTER.
Our newly minted THEATRE FOR THOUGHT series will present internationally-acclaimed solo performers who engage serious subjects with humor, intelligence, and insight. Theatre can do so much. It can entertain, transport, or challenge — that’s Theatre for Thought — and it’s coming to our stage.
