LOVE CANON FRIDAY, APRIL 14, 2023 | 7:00 & 9:00 P.M. UPSTAGE AT THE PHILLIPS CENTER
Love Canon takes you back in time. The group’s performances reimagine pop hits of the ’80s and ’90s. Additionally, they deliver a fresh take on classics, crossing genres to recount music from the likes of Peter Gabriel, Billy Joel, Depeche Mode, and Paul Simon. Pairing charismatic vocal stylings with ingenious instrumentation, this group has created their own raucous blend of acoustic-roots for the masses. RESERVED — 7:00 P.M. SEATING $50 | 9:00 P.M. She’s since toured the world performing recitals and as a soloist with orchestras. We can’t wait to see her talent in the intimate Squitieri Studio Theatre. RESERVED $35 | UF STUDENTS $10

– AHUTI THE NRITYAGRAM DANCE ENSEMBLE in collaboration with The Chitrasena Dance Company SATURDAY, APRIL 22, 2023 | 7:30 P.M. | PHILLIPS CENTER
Writing for The New York Times, dance critic Brian Seibert finished his review of Nrityagram Dance Ensemble by proclaiming, “the only proper response to dancers this amazing is worship.” That may sound like hyperbole, but devotion is in their DNA. Today, Nrityagram is a thriving community of artists dedicated to the practice of Odissi, a 2,000-year-old classical dance of India. The village is home to a school inspired by the Gurukula, an ancient teaching paradigm, and an internationally renowned dance ensemble. The mission is to nurture dance professionals through the gurukula system, perform on a global stage, and forge a community through outreach. As you’ll see, Nrityagram Dance Ensemble has been recognized as the torchbearers for Odissi, honoring the ancient practice while carrying the artform into the 21st century. ALAN CUMMING SUNDAY, APRIL 23, 2023 | 7:30 P.M. | PHILLIPS CENTER
Alan Cumming Is Not Acting His Age. Hailed by TIME Magazine as one of the three most fun people in show business—we don’t care about the other two— because Alan Cumming will be on our stage! The Tony and Olivier award-winning theatre actor equally enjoys the stage and the big screen. However, he prefers center stage, which allows him to connect with audiences. Join Alan for a hilarious night of storytelling, music, and hijinx. This performance is, in a word—cheeky! THIS PERFORMANCE INCLUDES ADULT CONTENT.
