The University of Georgia completed its most ambitious and successful fundraising effort in its history, after raising $1.45 billion. The campaign publicly launched in November of 2016 with a 1.2 billion dollar goal which was surpassed 16 months ahead of schedule and brought in donations from all 50 states and 62 countries. The School of Social Work also had its most successful fundraising effort in its history surpassing its goal as well for a total of $1,898.71 from 2,897 gifts and pledges.
