01 TRANSPARENT RUINS

Competition Project (1st):ZIYA TANALI INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION Type: Restoration/Revitalization (Conceptual). Softwares: 3dmax,Auto-card, Adobe Phostohop,Adobe illustrator,Revit,Vray,Lumion.

Keywords: Transparent-ruins-wall-create.

TRANSPARENT RUINS The project springs from the idea of reintegrating the wall as a touristic Hotspot which greets them with an unobstructed view of the wall, while Being a part of a public space with diverse functions, where you can Immerse yourself in the history of the place, learn, rest, and meet interesting People. On a Micro-scale, we aimed to create a simple and intelligent way of preserving the wall ,while seamlessly connecting it with the public space and creating a space for interaction from within it. The structure approach, we used a required a 2cm wide steel rods that was bonded together with a connector to create a basic three dimensional cube, in which we set as a module of varying side dimensions of 25 and 50 cm.being inspired by the corbel stone size variations in the wall. Then rearranging them in a pattern inspired by the visualized outline of falling rubble’s that created a seamless connection to the top part of the wall, having the base acting as Sitting spaces, and the volume below the steps used as book shelves that provides more information to the visitor about the wall and the city.

1

CONCEPT

1

.Visualizing the fallen rubble of the northern side of the wall, as this side showed a more noticeable deterioration.

2

.We re-imagined the rubble as geometric cubes with varying sizes mimicking the size variation of the corbel stones n the original structure.

2

3

4

3

.Then by implementing a modular approach we mimicked the outline of a fallen ruins, which usually contains a base and connection to the wall, where we created steps connecting to the top, and created a seating/steps.

4

.On the top part of the wall we followed the principle of continuity that resulted in the creation of the poles that will act as visual landmark, and showing an abstract outline of a tower, that is connected to a platform that will provide a close interaction with the wall along with a 180 view of the design.

WeZIG - BUILDING

Project name: Wezig building, Project code: GBIM1120, project address: Barcelona, project coordinates:41.3874° N, 2.1686° E, Type of asset: Office Building Project, brief description: It is a modern design office building, , which has 9 above-ground stories and 1 basement and a total gross area of 2626 sqm. Phasing: DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, HANDOVER, CLOSE-OUT AND OPERATIONS, Form of contract: Design & Build,Design start date: 29th April 2021 ,Design start date:29th April 2021.

The starting point for implementing BIM to the WeZig building project were the client requirements such as model uses and standards. In the BEP theappointed party confirms on the client’s requirements and how they are going to deliver these. All team members must follow the content of the BEP when working on this project like for example the naming conventions, standards, project schedule and soft wares. The BEP will be updated throughout the whole project by the BIM manager and be published on the CDE for everyone.

NURSING_HOME Designing a nursing home in an urban area, considerations have to be given to the area been an isolated part of the city surrounded with strict design measures. The idea of the design is to establish a pandemic-safe metropolitan climate while mulling over the prosperity of the occupants of the network. Concerning the way infections are sent which is by physical contact, we imagined a situation whereby individuals can live in a network that energizes negligible physical contact but not trading off social cooperation among the occupants of the area thereby diminishing the effect of being segregated from the rest of the world subsequently making a home away from home setting.

CONCEPT

Interjection of boxes and cylinders brings about the formation of the desired shape for the nursing home with reference the contour differences in the site.

CHILDREN ENTERTAINMENT CENTER

Designing a children entertainment center in an urban area, considerations have to be given to the area been an active part of the city surrounded with strict design measures. The result of this analytic process is a summary, usually a graphical sketch, which sets in relation the relevant environmental information with the morphology of the site in terms of parcel, topography, and built environment. This result is then used as a starting point for the development of environment-related strategies during the design process. A playground, play-park, or play area is a place specifically designed to enable children to play there. It is typically outdoors. While a playground is usually designed for children, some target other age groups. Using the approach of form before function a combination of alphabet A & E for the formation of the project.

CONCEPTUAL APPROACH: The concept was approach of the fascination of children with alphabets. The project was centered on its from as its defining point for the formation of various functions and space use within it.

Proposed Site 24

Composed of two components, the members and joints form the structural integrity of the space frame. Members are axial elements with circular or rectangular sections resisting tension and compression, while the connecting joints are critical to the strength, stiffness and safety of the design. Usually made of steel or aluminium contributing to its lightweight structure, the spherical nodes or square hollow sections at the center provide threaded drilled holes for the insertion of members in different directions of their axis. Consequently, the structural tube and welded steel cone of the member on each end are tightened into the spherical node or square hollow ensemble through screws and nuts.
