Coloring Book April 2024 Cooglife

Page 1

Hello everyone!

In case you don’t know, my name is Sydney Rose and I am the Executive Editor of Cooglife Magazine.

I am so excited to show you our latest edition, the Cooglife Coloring Book!

As you can see, this letter from the editor is looking a little different than our previous issues, as we

Letter From The Editor

wanted to give you as many pages to coloring as possible!

So, have fun drawing on my face (but not too much fun) and maybe I’ll use this as a way to look into new hair color options.

I also want to shout out the extremely talented and creative Jose as he’s responsible for making my crazy ideas and making them a reality. Not to mention, he designed the cutest cover ever.

For this issue, we did a callout for artists all over campus to submit their

pieces to the book, and I am so proud of the work we got for every single page.

Make sure to grab your favorite markers, crayons, pencils or pens and start coloring away!

Consider this our gift to you that you can see all of this great art and get a chance to relieve some stress as finals appraoch.

Finals. That is crazy to think that this is the last official Cooglife issue of the school year, and my last issue as Executive Editor.

Don’t worry! I’ll still be on board to head this year’s issues of Houstonian and Transitions, but for

Cooglife? It’s time to say goodbye.

I have learned so much this year as editor and have gotten to work with so many amazing people. Photographers who are always down to shoot for a concert happening in Houston, graphic designers who can take my random babbling and turn it into the prettiest art I’ve ever seen, writers who take the notes I give them and produce heartfelt and intelligent stories that I find myself reading over and over again.

I am appreciative of every member of the Cooglife team and I am forever grateful that I got to create something fantastic with them this year.

This year alone, Cooglife has covered music festivals, the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, anticipated releases such as “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer,” written book reviews, discussed the food scene in Houston, interviewed public figures, wrote from the heart and so much more.

I can leave knowing I left my mark on the Cooglife team and publication, but it has also left its mark on me.

As I move on to next steps (still unclear, may just have to travel the world to find myself or something) I want to give a big thank you to our readers as well.

Here’s to a final “Thanks for reading.” Now, go and color up a storm.

Thank you,
