Maraya Concert Hall, a stunning architectural achievement in AlUla, Saudi Arabia, represents a remarkable blend of modernity and ancient heritage. Known as the largest mirrored building in the world according to the Guinness World Records, Maraya, meaning 'mirror' or 'reflection' in Arabic, is set against the captivating backdrop of the Ashar Valley, seamlessly blending into the surrounding desert.

Architectural Innovation and Sustainability

Designed by the acclaimed ItalianGerman team of Florian Boje of Gio Forma, Milan, Maraya is a marvel of

modern architecture and sustainable design. The building is adorned with 9,740 square meters of mirrors supplied by Guardian Glass. These mirrors were meticulously selected for their durability and brilliance, ensuring high fidelity to AlUla's natural colors despite challenging environmental conditions like sandstorms and temperature fluctuations. The mirrored facade creates a visual illusion, appearing as a shimmering mirage from afar and reflecting the visitor's image as they approach. This facade was carefully engineered to maintain visual uniformity, accounting for the expansion of panels in high temperatures.

Maraya is more than an architectural masterpiece; it is a hub for cultural and artistic expression. The venue's state-of-the-art auditorium has hosted a range of world-class performances by international artists like Andrea Bocelli, Lionel Richie, and Yanni, as well as regional stars. It is also a popular site for art exhibitions, conferences, business meetings, and even weddings. The hall's innovative design includes a giant retractable window behind the stage, allowing the outside to become part of the performance space.

Atop the concert hall, Maraya Social, a rooftop restaurant by British chef Jason Atherton, offers innovative dining concepts. This culinary space adds another dimension to the Maraya experience, blending gastronomy with stunning desert vistas.
