Typical Timeline
Year 1 and 2: Mostly common coursework independent of track, while year 2 allows for more flexibility/specialization.
–Opportunity to take classes in the College of Pharmacy, Economics Departments, etc.
End of year 2 (end of August/beginning of September): Preliminary exams (2 parts: Policy & Economics)
Year 3: Dedicated to research (thesis writing) with the Thesis Proposal Defense at the end of year 3.
Year 4: Dedicated to research (thesis writing) with thesis defense as the last step.
