It’s a great day to be alive and be a cardinal! Cardinals, The next three weeks are very busy ones! This week we have very special events on campus. National Night Out will be this Tuesday on Dubuis Lawn 4-7 pm. Wednesday will be CAB’s Taco Truck event for National Hispanic Heritage Month! Don’t forget that enxt week is fall break. This means there will be no classes Thursday or Friday. We hope you are looking forward to your 4-day weekend! Following Fall Break get ready for Homecoming Week! You will be able to vote for your next Homecoming King and Queen! Details will be sent out on Orgsync so please look out for that email! The office of Campus Life wishes everyone a great October! A Spooktacular UIW Alumni Association Halloween Event

Attention Students with AT Parking Permits: The parking lot will be open for use on Monday September 15th. As a recipient of the ‘AT’ parking decal you will not be allowed to park on the main campus Monday – Thursday (8am-5pm); Campus Police will start issuing parking ticket around the September 18th to those that are still parking on main campus. For your convenience there will be shuttle service throughout the day – as of now the shuttle is scheduled to run 6:30am to 8pm Please note that night time parking is prohibited.
Volunteers Needed! Woodridge Carnival at Woodridge Elementary School Carnival Friday, October 24, from 3-6pm. Volunteers are needed to help with the food and game booths. Shifts: 2:30-4pm, 4-5pm, and 5-6:30pm. Woodridge Carnival is the largest fundraiser for Woodridge Elementary School in Alamo Heights ISD. Community Service Opportunities with San Antonio Sports San Antonio Sports serves a non-profit organization based out of the Alamodome; our mission is to transform our community through the power of sport, which we accomplish by bringing citywide sports events to San Antonio and organizing local sports leagues for children and youth in cooperation with the city’s premier sport organizations. October 13 th-15th: Valor Games - The Valor Games Southwest is a multi-sport event with the goal to provide an adaptive sports competition to the veterans and service members with a physical disability. The Valor Games Southwest will be one of four events in the 2014 Valor Games series and includes six sports: archery, cycling, kayaking, powerlifting, wheelchair basketball and air guns.
