At Camp JCC, summer camp is more than just a place where children come to play during the summer; campers discover, grow and learn within a supportive and safe environment! Throughout the summer, children connect and bond through shared experiences and traditions. Campers and counselors come together as a community at our daily camp meeting, Boker Tov (“Good Morning”) and at Shabbat celebrations on Fridays. Whether it’s a new friend your child makes, or the first time he or she swims across the pool, expect to hear exciting stories about what’s happening at camp!

COUNSELORS IN TRAINING (CITs) for Teens entering Grades 9 – 10
Our CIT program for selected ninth and tenth graders allows teens to gain leadership skills and valuable experience working with children, while enjoying the traditional camp experience. Throughout the summer, CITs will receive training that emphasizes important life skills such as self-confidence, teamwork, conflict resolution and being a good rolemodel. CITs are an integral part of the Camp JCC community. The opportunity to work with younger campers will help them develop as leaders and prepare them for future roles at camp or in the community. CITs help implement special camp activities as well as work on a community service project throughout the summer. They will also have the opportunity to take part in our camp-wide programming and programs designed just for them.
