What is Celebrate Israel @70?

This year is the 70th anniversary of modern Israel and to mark this historic occasion, United Jewish Federation of Tidewater and Simon Family JCC present Celebrate Israel @70! An event series showcasing Israeli arts, culture, tradition, and food; Celebrate Israel @70 includes a mixed media concert on April 15 presented in partnership with Virginia Arts Festival (VAF) featuring Israel Story’s Mixtape. Central to our celebration is a full-day festival on April 22, celebrating Israel’s Independence Day, that features authentic Israeli cuisine, music and games; as well as local vendors, rides and more! Celebrate Israel @70 concludes with an exclusive networking event at the new Cavalier Hotel on April 25–featuring award-winning Israeli chef, Michael Solomonov.

Let's celebrate as a community!

We are proud to present Celebrate Israel @70 as a community celebration that offers something for everyone. Your partnership in this event series includes exciting and robust sponsorship benefits and recognition, but most important is the impact you make on our community. Your support funds critical programs for children, including scholarships for summer camp and before/after-school enrichment, as well as making Yachad, our special needs camp experience, possible. Let’s Celebrate Israel @70 as a community and create opportunities for children to thrive!
