The work environment is very fun and friendly. It feels like there is no hierarchy among seniors and juniors. The office puts on confidence, defends and guides each members as their family which I think is very important for any office.
CHOOSING ZERO DIA NEPAL
Zero Dia Nepal Team
Principal Architects
When I was looking an architecture firm for my internship program, I wanted to work in a firm which works on multiple type of projects and the firm which is also fun in terms of work culture. After loads of research, there I found Zero Dia Nepal, and got an opportunity to talk with its CEO Ar.Toran Prasad Pandit where we talked more about his office, works and environment for internship. This made me convince that this is the firm I am looking for.
The management of this firm is very precise that most of the day within 7 hours, you can complete the allocated work. Being a small firm, it can overlook every work that an architect or an intern is doing. Which means, you can directly work under the supervision of principal architects.
Zero Dia Nepal Pvt. Ltd. is an architectural firm based in Kathmandu, Nepal. It has been actively involved in architecture, design and construction for eight years. With a prime motto of ‘Building for better tomorrow’, the firm has been working in all sectors like, residential, commercial, educational, corporate, hospitality, Health and fitness, interior design etc.
INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
I have shown involvement in different types of projects like residential, commercial, hospitality and resort, Interior design, and technical aspects like estimation and costing. In these projects, I got to work in different set of areas like conceptual, planning and layout, 3D design, technical drawings, renderings, calculations etc. Besides, I was involved in brand development project of the company where I got to work as a graphic designer for social media contents. Here, learned so much about how to grow a firm and built a strong portfolio.
Similarly, from me, these three months were not just an internship but also the opportunity to learn from so many wonderful people and professionals and their experience as a person and as an architect. Through the internship, I have been able to perceive so many things. I have realized how important good communication and architecture skills are and how they impact in the architecture carrier and how important it is to find job in the field or involving an issue that you love and how choosing the right place is an important decision you make. Moreover, it has been a good dose of the reality and of what life will be like upon graduation.
This report is the descriptive illustration of work I have done and things I have learned in these three months of architecture internship at Zero Dia Nepal. The early days of intern for me was difficult to adapt outside of university but with such empathetic, compassionate and supportive mentors, I was able to cope up with office work, schedule and deadlines of the project.
Architecture internships provide the formal training required to become a certified professional, and are essential for gaining a well-rounded set of experiences to help you grow as both a student and as a newly qualified architect. Aside from technical skills, internships are an opportunity to learn and work on your soft skills such as teamwork, independence, effective communication, and negotiation skills that will come in handy with future projects and eventual clients.

9.BRAND DEVELOPMENT
Branding is the process of making public recognize the company by launching and showcasing the quality product and services in the market. It involves how good the company is performing or influencing in the public.
Defining the color palette is one of the most important thing in order to establish a brand because people will recognize you for that later. Keeping this in mind, three major colors were picked; Navy blue, Golden, and white.
The ideas of such bold colors signify the confidence, brand and simplicity. Which means these colors depict that the company is confidence enough to fulfill the requirement of the client while keeping quality work and services in mind and at the same time showing simplicity and humbleness in public so that trust can be maintained in long run.
FIRST THING FIRST
Given the scenario, Social media like Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, Website can be used to showcase the work and establish a company as a brand. As an architecture firm, it is very essential that public recognize you and your work. Showcasing the work as a portfolio open ups the endless opportunities and growth.
Navy Royal blue
Today, the world is growing faster than ever. The advancement of internet is making things easier on daily basis. Social media platform as a precious gift of internet is bringing people closer than ever. You can find everyone here. Which means, as an individual or as a company, it is a great way to make people know you, your product or services.
So with this idea, project: Brand Development started. Initial start for this project would be posting the quality content on Instagram and Facebook while developing a portfolio in a website as a side hustle. Here, the contents refers photos, videos and posters of the projects the firm has done so far. After certain level of confidence and growth, branding would expand to other platforms: TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn.

In a nutshell, this internship has been an excellent and rewarding experience. Not only did I gain lots of practical skills but I also had the opportunity to meet fantastic people. The atmosphere at Zero Dia was always welcoming which made me feel right at home. Additionally, I felt like I was able to contribute to the company by assisting and working on projects throughout the internship period. Working as a trainee architect, I have achieved ample level of experience in architecture design and construction.
Working on various types of projects, I learned so much outside of academic life. I cultured so many skillset, which have enriched my confidence and capabilities. It also made me perceive architecture from professional perspectives. Moreover, this internship has been a good doge of real life and of what life will be like upon graduation and how much I have to be prepared for that. Because It was obvious to see how exhausting the architecture work is. Therefore for an individual it is essentially important to enjoy what you do.
Finally, Architecture internships provide the formal training required to become a certified professional, and are essential for gaining a well rounded set of experiences to help you grow as both a student and as a newly qualified architect. Aside from technical skills, internships was a great opportunity to learn and work on soft skills such as teamwork, independence, effective communication, and negotiation skills that will come in handy with future projects and eventual clients.
