Spring 2022 ICT 305 Data Detectives students partnered with iFixit, a how-to website and online community which offers repair parts and step-by-step manuals to guide individuals in fixing their technology rather than disposing of it.

INFORMATION COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY students can expect to work in areas where they are the communication link between people, organizations and the technologies used to support information infrastructures. Paths include commercialization and technology management. A professional internship is required.

“ICT came out of nowhere as an option for me. I was exploring campus during orientation, and they had a booth set up in White Hall where I met a few professors who explained to me what ICT was for, how it differed from traditional CS degrees and why it was a good fit. It made sense, and by the end of my first semester I was committed. Graduating with a CI degree, especially in such a technologically-driven era, is something I never expected when I came to UK. I can’t be more grateful to have found my life’s calling through a chance meeting in the summer of 2017.”
