and social isolation are serious health risks that especially affect a large portion of our older population.

There is increasing evidence that social isolation is linked to increased risk of further illness including

obesity and Alzheimers. Take efforts to stay active and engaged by planning your days, getting some

physical activity, being aware of your risks for social isolation, checking in on others, being safe when you

may be out of the house, and accepting help from others. Be sure to be SOCIAL even when you're being

Ways to save on groceries during the pandemic

You probably have noticed that you are paying a little more for food these days. The COVID-19 pandemic and its resulting supply chain disruptions have caused consumers to pay more for their normal grocery items, especially meats. In fact, the U.S. Department of Agriculture predicts that we will see our highest grocery price increase since 2011 as overall grocery prices are expected to rise by an average of 3% in 2020.
