We offer a range of opportunities to learn locally and globally. Whether it be theatre visits, workshop trips, music and sporting tours, exchange programmes or adventures such as last year’s Mexico expedition, our trips offer unique learning experiences.

I’ve heard people talk about form tutors - what are they? Your form tutor is a teacher who sees you every day for registration. it is their job to look after you and to make sure you are doing well in school. what clubs are available?

what will i need to take to school? you’ll need a school bag, a pencil case, pen, pencils, rubber, ruler, maths pack, your planner, any books for that day and anything else you need for your lessons e.g your pe kit.

will i be in classes with my friends?

what about homework and toilets?

are the teachers strict and are the students friendly? what if i find the work too hard? if you are finding the work hard, ask for help. there are always staff who will help you.

what if i get bullies? you should report bullying directly to an adult or through the bullying boxes that are around the school. also tell your parent/carer at home. let us know if there is a problem and we will help. what about school meals?

how long would it be before i knew my way around?

how will i know when my lessons will be and what if i get lost? you’ll be given a timetable & a map of the school, if you get lost ask an older student or go to student services. the staff & students will be happy to help.
