French Revision: How can I support my son or daughter? At home, good French revision is built upon two main things: 1. Vocabulary revision and 2. Practising exam-style questions

VOCABULARY REVISION

• Ask them to log on to UCC French to practise key words for each topic on Quizlet and Memrise. Get them to show you and talk you through these sites as they’re by far the best way of revising vocab. • Ask them to make flash cards with key vocabulary. Test them on these words. • Label things around the house in French.

EXAM QUESTIONS

• Purchase a revision guide (at a discount price in Shirley’s shop) and encourage them to use this to revise. Access past papers from UCC French along with mark schemes and transcripts. Encourage them to carefully go through each paper, looking up and noting down new words
