DIAMOND WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATIONS

Hugh and Violet Hawthorne from Ballynahinch held a special dinner for family and friends at Temple Golf Club recently to celebrate their Diamond Wedding Anniversary. The couple married on 8th September 1962 in Hackney, London, where they spent two years living before returning to Ballynahinch.

The couple received a very special surprise when they were presented with a telegram from the late Queen Elizabeth II congratulating them on their Diamond Anniversary.
